    Military Rimfires

I went to the auction at Turners Auctions in Lower Hutt. There was a viewing the day before, so I went and looked at all of them and gave each one my own 'grading' of condition. The next day at the auction, I was able to buy both a No.8 and a No.9 that were in the top of my own grading (some...

    Bergara b-14r pic thread

It wasn't flash in mine. I used the rest of the brick for IPSC mini rifle. I should really try another box from a different lot, to see it it makes any difference.

What kind of "clips" does this pistol use?

Just a Google search. A friend of mine had a Viper for many years. Mainly because he couldn't sell it. He still gets shit about buying one.

What kind of "clips" does this pistol use?

Arguing on the internet over whether it's clips or magazines is like running in the the Special Olympics.

    Lazy Susan

A Lazy Susan here is a turntable sitting in the middle of a dinner table to easily pass food around. I remember sitting at a table on the front deck of a house belonging to a Sergeant from work, shooting rabbits in a pile of hay bales about 40m away while the chips and dip and beers rotated...

    Maggie’s Socially UNacceptable Humor

I was walking around a local market afew years ago and a guy had about six for sale. I knew what they were immediately, but it took me a few seconds to realise why they were stained black. I pointed them out to my wife, who picked one up and and asked me if they were some kind of tent pegs. I...

    Son's first rimfire

Buy a rifle with a full size wood stock, cut the stock to fit him and add the bits back on as he grows. Just like adding spacers on the stocks of many rifles.

    Norma tac-22

My Bergara B14 doesn't like it. I brought a brick and will use the rest for speed steel or something like that. Absolutely no issues with feeding, firing or extracting, just doesn't shoot as accurately as other ammo at the same price in my rifle. A crying shame because there's tons of it in the...

BREN gun semi-auto build...vintage sniper? 1.5 MOA groups. VIDEO UP!

I'm not going to hijack the thread with photos from my visit, but here is the photo of the 7.62mm L4A3 Bren in the Police Museum in Kuala Lumpur. Crap photo, but in my defence, the room was dark and the displays were backlit. I had to get my torch out to read the markings on the side. On top...

BREN gun semi-auto build...vintage sniper? 1.5 MOA groups. VIDEO UP!

I just had a look at a 7.62mm L4A3 Bren Gun on display in the Malaysia Police Museum in Kuala Lumpur this morning. I'll post a picture when I get home in a couple of days. A nice little museum with lots of interesting displays and lots of guns from flintlocks to M60 machine guns, armoured...

We made similar things with two bolts and a nut screwed together and filled with the red composition scraped off match heads. A strip of material as a tail helped them land end on to the concrete and increased reliability. Bolt bombs, as we called them, could be filled with a little bit of...

LOL!! So, tactical lever gun is a thing now?

My Marlin 1894 .357 with DPT suppressor. Since this photo was taken, I've put a XS Sights picatinny rail on it and an Aimpoint scope. Shoots great with full .357 loads, but I'm still trying to find an very quiet load that shoots really well.

LOL!! So, tactical lever gun is a thing now?

My friend's Rossi 92 in .357Mag. Not intended to be tactical, just silenced. Very quiet with .38 Special loads. Offset suppresser so the original sights can still be used.
