    Progressive twist rifling

Re: Progressive twist rifling Gain twist rifling was first used somewhere in 19th century, IIRC. I have a custom handgun that I had built a few years ago with gain twist rifling. It shoots like a laser.

    First Build

Re: First Build I was leaning more towards a Jewell, I've had one on another rifle and the pull was great. The trigger on my TRG is amazing for a factory set up that I want to keep that level of quality without sacrificing reliability.

    First Build

I'm looking at building a short heavyish hunter/lightish tactical rifle in .308. I want 400 to 500 yard deer/elk killing rifle that I can run a suppressor on when I hunt in a location that allows it. I started by ordering a Defiance medium action with a fluted bolt and 1 piece rail today. I was...

Hunting & Fishing A Little Success in Kansas

Re: A Little Success in Kansas Here's an 11 point I took from the same area a couple of years ago. The 11th point is a nontypical on the left main beam that you can see easiest in the last pic. 19" inside spread, 22" outside. I haven't scored this one yet, it's at my mother's house in...

    Another miserable experience with Botach

Re: Botach screwed me again. I ordered a couple of items from them years ago. I received my email confirmation later on, waited about a month and started making phone calls. I kept getting the run around, when I actually spoke to someone, and ended up canceling my order. I had report it as...

Hunting & Fishing A Little Success in Kansas

Bagged this 14 point opening evening in Kansas. 275-ish yard fontal neck shot, couldn't wait any longer, from my Sako TRG22. Roughed him out at 158" gross. Taxidermist is supposed to get me score sometime, he told me my figure was a few inches too low.

Suppressors Opinions: Supressors worth the time, $$, effort?

Re: Opinions: Supressors worth the time, $$, effort? Yep. No more ringing ears or concussion and the recoil reduction is an added bonus. Silencers add a whole new dimension to hunting in the states that you can legally use them.
