    Re: Failure to fire Hugh, From the picture, the strike looks more like a push than a solid strike. I am thinking a firing pin spring has lost its temper. Or, something is binding and slowing the pin down. Test the primers in the above mentioned suggestions, and go from there.

    Re: 175SMK + 47gr Varget? If your brass was new the first time you shot the 47 grain load, it could account for not seeing the pressure. The new brass stretching to the chamber takes a lot of the energy and reduces normal signs of pressure. It is best to develop loads with fire formed brass.

    Re: Christensen Arms Carbon Rifles......any input? Barrels are an on going issue with Christensen. They have sold more than a few match grade barrels, that in the end turned out to be factory barrels turned and carboned. CS is non existent.
