    Gunsmithing Bore condition help

I would check and maybe re-crown the barrel. Check bolt thrust with loaded virgin factory ammo or virgin factory brass. If those check out then I would say a new barrel. Chasing anything else would be a time thing and chances are it couldn't be fix anyway.

Gunsmithing Stiller TAC 30 bolt stop/release binding

I’m assuming this is the side bolt release. Have you taken it out to see if there is a kink in the spring or some other issue you can’t see? It’s a pretty simple item might see something by removing it.

    Gunsmithing Barrel threading for suppressor

Having the brake in hand the builder should have timed the barrel so the brake would torque without shims.

Looks like at least 1 inch wasn’t removed from that barrel muzzle. Some barrel makers even put a saw mark where they want you to remove.

Gunsmithing Worst Copper Fouling I've ever seen

If it shoots who cares? Just because it has copper fouling doesn’t make it a poor shooter, in fact I’ve seen plenty of barrels that wouldn’t shoot worth crap until they were fouled I clean when accuracy dictates.

Gunsmithing When bedding...how do you keep the epoxy out of the pillar hole?

Nope I know others that do it the same way as you. Like I said more ways to skin a cat. After you do a few hundred you find the best way that works for you. My bedding method changes a little depending on rifle manufacture.

Gunsmithing Muzzle brake on custom action quick change

Depends. Do you install your barrels hand tight? Most brakes require torque as in foot pounds. If you don’t hold the barrel you could transfer part of that torque to the action threads. If the brake needs timing and you torque to brake not holding the barrel then unscrew the barrel from the...

Gunsmithing When bedding...how do you keep the epoxy out of the pillar hole?

Lots of ways to skin the cat. I myself if any bedding gets into the holes I just use the correct fitting drill bit to remove the bedding. If you are using guide pins to center the action with already glued in pillars or pre drilled holes you better be damn sure those pillars are straight before...
