Suppressors 30 Caliber Suppressor on an AR-15 Question

Some claim they can tell a difference but I can’t tell any distinguishable difference with my ears. And no there is no difference in accuracy. I also use a .45 can with my 9mm can’t tell a difference there either.

Suppressors 30 Caliber Suppressor on an AR-15 Question

I use my TBAC 338 can on bolt guns with 419 attachment for all kinds of calibers. I use a Sandman S .30 cal can on both AR15 and AR10 works great on both rifles.

    Gunsmithing Trigger adjustment/cock on close

Remington is cocking on open not close. Bolt cocking piece and trigger sear engagement is on close. Not sure what you are trying to achieve.

Gunsmithing Quick question on skim bedding.

If there is paint on the stock In the bedding area remove it. Light sanding or scuffing it up is fine. I would recommend Devcon or Marine Tex for bedding. Either of these will require grinding out once dry and they bond to just about any surface

Gunsmithing Flush cups in Gen 2 700 5R HS Precision stock.

I’ve done it but don’t recommend it. The fill in those stocks is very light and the shell is not very thick. McMillan or a Manners type stock is a better host due to the stock construction.

    Gunsmithing Blueprinting Remington 700 cost

Depending on the type of rifle being built and your intended use for that rifle some truing options you pay for will not necessarily show you any improvement. Getting all the bells and whistles on a factory action might also be a waste of money when you compare it to some full custom actions...

Gunsmithing Rem 700 recoil lug is not aligned with trigger

Yes the recoil lug can be crooked, most factory Remingtons are. You can break the barrel loose and use an alignment tool to hold the lug straight while torque is applied. Drop the action into the stock and see if you can rotate it back and forth in the stock. It should rotate slightly back and...

    Suppressors Thread Issue

I check every suppressor for alignment no matter the rifle. I’ve seen bad suppressors and bad suppressor attachments. As for the threads there are + and - to the tolerances for both the can and the barrel threads. What might be a little wiggle on one barrel may be just right or too tight on...

Suppressors What causes a baffle strike?

I have also seen screwed up cans and screwed up suppressor attachments. So it’s not always the thread job.

    Suppressors Suppressor adapter help

There’s no shoulder to speak of. Have the threads checked. If they’re good and you have enough barrel for a shoulder to brake match up have the brake timed when a good shoulder is cut

    Gunsmithing Bore Scope Pics

They were and that’s exactly what they do. Accuracy drops I clean or the rifle gets wet or the rifle will be stored for extended time between shooting sessions.

Gunsmithing Salt bath nitride coating on a bolt.

You can’t blindly nitride anything. You need to know the makeup of the part and any prior heat treating. As said above call the part maker and see what they say.
