Anyone using Vortex UHD 12x50 binos?

Roger that. I'm not a glasses wearer anymore, but I definitely can't get a full field of view with them while wearing shooting glasses. Good call.

Anyone using Vortex UHD 12x50 binos?

Sam, I haven't, but in the range you are looking I'd seriously consider the Meopta 12x50's. The glass is very very good, and you can find some deals on them as well. I got my Cabela's Euro HD branded pair off of eBay for $1,000. I use mine for hours at every match, and highly recommend them.

    Parallax.... how to?

Same here, I might touch my parallax mid-stage once every two to three matches, if that. That said, not all scopes are equally forgiving. Having tested a ATACR 7-35 (well known for forgiveness in this arena) vs my K525, the NF is definitely superior. Yet I don't feel the limited but larger...

    PRS Talk PRS Casual Rules...

Why not let the plinking and practice occur, then go "on the record" when you want a string of fire to count for score? In my experience, nothing will take the interest out of competition like a complex scoring system that is difficult to follow. I've worked as an engineer and obviously around...

PRS Talk How do you DOPE the wind at matches?

It is pretty satisfying to have as much wind as elevation at 1k and connect... Big vote for 90 degree winds being way easier to deal with consistently than 0 degree or 180 degree winds.

For those interested in field swapping barrels...The Ross Vise

Everything is cut and all hardware is in hand, just waiting for the anodizer to wrap his part up. I'll hit them up tomorrow to see where we stand.

PRS Talk How do you DOPE the wind at matches?

For sure, none of the two day matches I've attended under either group allowed feedback. Just one day unsanctioned club matches.

PRS Talk How do you DOPE the wind at matches?

Regarding feedback on the clock at club matches, in our slice of the world it's typically allowed for novice shooters. I think that works out on average, as we definitely want them hitting some plates and having fun. For me, on my dope card for each stage I write down the 10mph 90 degree wind...

    Sierra Match King 6mm 110gr G7?????

I shot them in one barrel where I started out jamming them .010" and ended up jumping like .040" or .050" as the barrel wore, never adjusted the load. They shot well enough for competition for me throughout. Can't say I recommend that plan however!
