    My process looks like jzwolen’s. I apply red Loctite to the barrel threads with the nut backed off, then screw the barrel hand tight to a go gauge, being careful to keep the Loctite far from the action. Then I typically hand tighten the nut and let it set up. Once it sets I pull the barrel...

    I haven't actually measured everything on mine, but they have thinned the wall thicknesses in lots of spots and removed the thumbwheels. I think I'm going to like having the lighter option, as I ended up hunting with a comp setup last year. I have an ultralight on order for a 9-10 lb option...

    I've never attempted it, but I don't recommend it. Thus far no one has offered their Carbon Proof up to me for destruction testing :) Some early customers have certainly had good luck with their stainless Proofs...

    Thanks Scott! Bottom metal inlet is the M5 pattern. The barrel channel fits a bull sporter barrel I had in it, but would need opened up a little to hold a Rem varmint contour.
