Re: 308 win subsonic load recomendations
I run 10.4 gr. of Trailboss behind a 180 gr. .30-30 projectile for 1040 fps. You will have to play with the amount of powder a bit for the 220. I can't run the 220s due to the 11.25 twist on my rifle.
Re: Long-Range Buckmark Varmint Setup
SS, Here is mine. Need to put a better piece of glass on it as it wears a 2x6 Simmons which leaves some to be desired. Mine also has the 9.5" barrel with a suppressor threaded onto it. Shoots subs really well.
A question for those who know. I recently purchased a factory laminted Rem. 700 BDL stock to "pretty up" an older Rem 700 Varmint .22-250 that I had in a PSS stock. I noticed that when setting the receiver into the laminated stock that it is free floated except at the last inch on the muzzle...
Several years ago I purchased a 1/2x28 to 5/8x24 thread adapter to use my .308 can on a .223 rifle. I purchased this from a member here that manufactured them. I recently lost it during a move and want to get another but I cannot remember the members name. Can any point me in the right...
Re: New Chronograph being introduced
I agree, the mounting would chamge the barrel harmonics thus change the POI. It does state that in one of the vids I believe and they say that you should just use it for velocity / sd / es. Don't use it while shooting for groups or zero. You can read a...
Has anyone tried this new technology chronograph ? It uses a magnetic field sensor instead of photo sensors. I have been reading good reviews on it. Terry Cross of KMW is also reviewing it. The only issue that I see is that I could not use my suppressor with the current way that it mounts...

Re: Nikon M223 on M6A2
Short answer is yes. Trajectories will be different between the 55 and the 68/69 projectiles at distance. Even if you shoot 55 gr. V-Max/BT/Blitzking the elevation turret may not match up exactly due to differences between rifles and ammo. It should be fairly close with...
Re: 22 semi pistol
I own both with Tacsol uppers and run a suppressor on both. The Ruger is a little quieter due to the closed chamber area when suppressed than the Buckmark. The Buckmark is easier to keep clean. A suppressed .22 is very dirty so if you intend to shoot a lot suppressed I...
Re: .22LR suppressor
SilencerCo makes the Sparrow. I have one of the new stainless ones.. Great suppressor and easy to keep clean. It has a little more 1st. rd. pop than others but I can live with that. Plus it's rated for .17HMR, .22 mag and 5.7
Re: Today.com Chris Kyle - Good GAP promo!!!
I also saw it. Good shot of George's logo. May have to check out Kyle's book. Wonder if he is a SH member.
Re: Tube forend cover
I had thought about the bicycle inner tube. May give that a try. The suppressor socks look good and might work but @ $170.00 I think I will pass on that one...thanks for the ideas though.
Looking for some ideas here. I put together a 6.8 SPC AR to use for deer and coyote here in Va. This rifle has an non-railed aluminum tube forend on it. The problem is in the 20-30 deg. temps in the winter the tube gets colder than a well diggers ass. I wrapped it in 550 cord but I am looking...
Re: Subsonic for 700 sps tactical
For a 1:12 twist Remington try the 170 or 180 gn. RN bullets made for the .30-30 in front of 10.4 gr. of Trailboss. This runs 1040 fps out of my suppressed LTR and shoots 1 MOA at 100 yds. with 12 MOA drop from my normal 100 yd. zero.
Re: YHM Phantom 7.62 compared to ???
I have a thread on YHM can that I use on a 20" .308 and a 24" GAP .308. Does a great job for the money. As you noted, it is a heavy can compared to others out there but to me is not worth the extra 500 for the others. I also have a AAC .223 can for the...
