    Rifle Scopes SWFA 3-15X42 Classic

It was a dark, gloomy day at the range which is not good for pictures. So don't attempt to judge the glass quality from these pics as it's impossible to take good pics through a scope in such conditions. 100 yds: 300 yds: A couple 100 and 300 yd targets: I...

    Rifle Scopes SWFA 3-15X42 Classic

A couple short notes as I haven't had a chance to spend too much time with it yet. But here are my impressions so far: First the important stuff: Reticle calibration and click value measure accurate within 0.5%. Reticle is square with the movement of the turrets within 1/2 degree...

Rifle Scopes scope advice for non 20 moa mount

Yes, we do plan to make 34 and 35mm rings just as soon as we can. I haven't spent much time yet comparing the glass on the 3-15 to other scopes. Initial impression is pretty decent--not HD level, but not too bad either. I'll try and do some more looking tonight.

Rifle Scopes scope advice for non 20 moa mount

I think that's what they guarantee as minimum. Mine has 41. :) After a 100 yd zero with a 20 MOA mount it has 26 Mils of "up" left, so it would have 20+ with a flat mount. The ELR guys on a budget should love this scope!

Rifle Scopes Do I Need a FFP Scope?

Very true. Bushnell, SWFA, Vortex, even Weaver have put quality FFP scopes within reach of many they weren't even just a few short years ago. Buying a S&B simply wasn't/isn't in the cards for many. Now we have so many good choices....

Rifle Scopes Do I Need a FFP Scope?

Yes, that is true. Though one could attach that caveat in describing nearly any situation and argue FFP reticles really aren't useful for anything ever--just use a multiplication factor. ;) Of course the whole idea is to not have to use a multiplication factor in your head when you've...

Rifle Scopes Do I Need a FFP Scope?

Or unless you simply want to shoot the stage at lower than maximum power. 20X, 25X, etc can be slow to use on mid-range targets. If you hold for wind, that goes for all the stages, even those with a single target.

Rifle Scopes SWFA SS ~ 3-15x42 ~ Some initial impressions and pictures

The reticle has quite thick (1.2 Mil) posts which stand out very well and make it fast to aim with on 3X, even in low light.

Rifle Scopes Torque wrench bits for Torx screws

What sizes? If you're trying to torque T-10's to 35-40 you're going to twist them off, that's just the way it is. Any application requiring that much torque should use a larger head. If T-20, T-25's, then I'd agree you got some bad bits.

Sorry guys, I've been booked pretty solid lately. I'll try and sneak to the range this weekend with it.

    Rifle Scopes Mrad IS Meteric

If looking for historical accuracy, the problem I see with that is the radian is older than the metric system by some 85 years. Just because the metric system adopted it at a later date doesn't mean "It's Metric" in the way people think about that phrase.

Rifle Scopes Mark 4 LR/T 8.5-25x50mm Illum TMR ... VS... SWFA SS 5-20x50 HD illum MilDot

Chad, The scopes are quite different functionally in that one is SFP the other is FFP, so the first question you need to answer is which do you want? If SFP, that rules out the SS off the bat. If FFP, the more comparable Leupold would be the ER/T with the FFP TMR. This scope will be more...

6.5 Grendel - Ideal Barrel Twist Rate

Personally I'd lean toward 1:8 no matter the length in case you want to shoot 140's. Mine's a 1:8 and it really, really likes 140's. It shoots 123's very well as well so I don't see a downside unless you want to shoot really light bullets. If you want to shoot 105's and 107's I'd suggest...

Rifle Scopes SWFA 10x HD vs. SWFA 10x non-HD

Yes, the HD is worth the extra money. Yes, the glass quality is that much better but it's a lot more than that--the HD is a much higher quality scope in every way. If you want a fixed 10X and have the coin, you won't regret getting the HD.

Rifle Scopes Decided on NXS 2.5x10 for SCAR ring question

Ah yes, bloody knuckles due to the mount when using a side charging handle was one of the reasons for the narrow/flush mounting system design of the AADMOUNT. For those who don't feel they need QD:

Rifle Scopes SWFA-SS Tax Day Group Buy: 1-6, 5-20, and more!

Re: SWFA-SS Tax Day Group Buy: 1-6, 5-20, and more! Interesting. Did you try a different battery? It really should be blindingly bright around dusk, if you're only starting to see it then you may have a bum battery. In the middle of the day in the desert it won't be bright, but it should...

Re: Off-set BUIS compatible with USO 3.2-17x37 Would something like this work for you? Even with a much larger/higher windage turret you should still have a clear view of the dot.
