Lyman's new ultrasonic cleaner (brief review)

Re: Lyman's new ultrasonic cleaner (brief review) I have been tempted to go the stainless route. I have a hornady ultra sonic and use the hornady solution. Are you guys using anything extra in your solution to help clean? I have not been happy with the Hornady/Hornady solution cleaning primer...

    RCBS Competition dies

Re: RCBS Competition dies For what its worth, I have a set of RCBS competition 308 dies. I used them for years, my biggest complaint out of them was they wouldnt hold a tolerance for seating more than .01 vary from bullet to bullet. I would have to dial back for each one because one may be...

    redding dies

Re: redding dies If you go with Redding bushing dies you may want to buy several bushings. One of my Redding instructions says .003 less another set of Redding instructions says .002 I just see what works best for me and go with it. Easy way to check size is to load one and measure neck...

SPS Tactical or FN SPR A1a

Re: SPS Tactical or FN SPR A1a I own a FN SPR A5 300WSM and a few Remmy 700's. If you really want to compare the two you are going to need to true the action of the 700, rebarrel it and put a bottom metal in the 700 as the new 308 spr's come with a 5 rd mag as well and a picatinny rail. Add...

Suppressors Gemtech Sandstorm, it’s even better than I thought

Re: Gemtech Sandstorm (400yd update) 6.5 I paid 11 and change for mine I think. I would suggest you find a local FFL to deal with so you are not transferring paperwork and making wait time even longer as its not a speedy process to begin with but its worth the wait.

    sps tactical 308

Re: sps tactical 308 Just another note for you, if you plan to shoot past 600 ditch the 168's. They really dont perform well at longer distances. My opinion is they dont perform as well as the 175's all around but there is no scientific evidence behind the not performing at shorter distances...

    sps tactical 308

Re: sps tactical 308 There really is no shortcut as every rifle is different. The one thing that will save you the most time IMO is do a ladder test. Start and min load and work up to max or when you start to see pressure signs in .2 grain increments. When you start to see a few rounds...

    Exxon earns 11 billion

Re: Exxon earns 11 billion Let me first say that farmers are not making record profits. With the price of oil going up it drives the price of diesel up, it also drives the price of fertilizer which is a petro product. Fertilizer has over tripled in the past 3 years. Pesticides have gone up as...

    300 wsm / 208 amax?

Re: 300 wsm / 208 amax? I just checked length for 208 Amax in my 300WSM FN SPR A5. Loaded to touching the lands is 2.960" The only way I can see to shoot these in an FN loaded the way the Amax prefer in my experience usually .01 into the lands, would be single feed.

    What happened to Butler Creek!

Re: What happened to Butler Creek! Its sad to see that I am not the only one with this problem. It is frustrating that what was once a great product has cheapened for whatever reason. Personally I wouldnt mind paying a little more for a good product, instead they decide to keep the price the...

    What happened to Butler Creek!

Re: What happened to Butler Creek! makes you wonder, I measured right but the flip lids that closed to their own plastic wouldnt even close. They were so far off that they wouldnt even try to grab even after putting layers of electical tape inside it to build it up.
