Hunting & Fishing Deer cull/ high killrate/ hammer forged fundamentals

They can be very nice. I like the ease of barrel change, click-click and I have a new cartridge to use, no POI changed as the scope sits on the barrel and bolt locks into the barrel.

Thanks, good memory to bring home!

Hunting & Fishing Deer cull/ high killrate/ hammer forged fundamentals

Blaser R8 Professional with standard barrel 6 XC, shooting Hornady 105gr Amax. Minox ZP5 5-25x56 scope, spuhr mount, contessa blaser rail. RPS (Rifle Precision System) bipod and bipod spigot. Silencer Atec optima. Shoots nice, but a little heavy for my taste.

Hunting & Fishing Climbing mountains for chamois, 6 XC

Best of luck, Macedonia is same-but-different. The only thing intimidating to me ( I live in a very wet place) was that the mountains are fairly dry, so bring more drinking water than you're used to. Not sure how used you are to mountains, but expect to dress a lot lighter than you would going...

Hunting & Fishing Deer cull/ high killrate/ hammer forged fundamentals

THe one and only sortie on these deer. A good example on how hammerforging the fundamentals pays off.

Hunting & Fishing Climbing mountains for chamois, 6 XC

I didn't capture this hunt as well as I'd like, BUT it was a proper return of investment and a good example of why you should invest training in HAMMER FORGED FUNDAMENTALS...

Hunting & Fishing Success & failure with 6 XC. Classic Highland deer stalk.

Friends of mine has used that bullet in 243 and 6mm-223 with good results, mostly roe deer (smallish deer)

Hunting & Fishing Success & failure with 6 XC. Classic Highland deer stalk.

No this is private land, like most here I'm afraid. I'm currently using the 105gr Amax but will change to Sierra 100gr Gamechanger if I can source it locally...

Hunting & Fishing Success & failure with 6 XC. Classic Highland deer stalk.

A short film showing most aspects of what you can expect from a classic Highland deerstalk. Showing what target practice gives you (the shooting is realtime) and how the margins between success and failure can be as small as "mental presence". The most common problem I see with inexperieced...

Hunting & Fishing Triple deer with 6 XC, scenic mountain hunt & boat access.

Thanks, that's very generous of you. Since this, I've decided to learn some new skills and put in some practice. Hopefully the next film will give a deeper immersion and show more details of the hunt. I've also invested in a new lens/ camera, hoping to capture better images. But there's such a...

Hunting & Fishing Triple deer with 6 XC, scenic mountain hunt & boat access.

And I'll add that after reviewing/ editing one years worth of hunting films, the old out-of-fashion colours OD Green and Dark Khaki really were cutting edge in their time and can still hold their own. There's so many clips from last season where I'm just a short way from the camera and simply...

Hunting & Fishing Triple deer with 6 XC, scenic mountain hunt & boat access.

This is one of the better ones. I had first generation and hunted with the same set for 18 years. It was the inevitable wear-out that pushed me into looking for something new and possibly better. It is a "competent set" in protecting neck and waistline properly, giving you very good control over...

Hunting & Fishing Triple deer with 6 XC, scenic mountain hunt & boat access.

Funny you should ask, I can get fairly technical on that question. Somewhere around colour code Pantone 16-0726 TPX. As it is, I must settle for what the manufacturers put out and they again usually settle for what the fabric manufacturer put out unless they have serious $$$$$ to back their...

Hunting & Fishing Triple deer with 6 XC, scenic mountain hunt & boat access.

Thanks! Have a long string of hunting films inbound now, editing is basically what I do in the offseason. In some ways it helps, on the other hand sitting in front of the computer also makes it that much harder to get in shape in time for hunting. Big fan of mountain hunting, but nature gives no...

Overall nice memory. Weather was dramatic enough to be pretty but not miserable.

PRS Talk Match report, MSRC World War Z, Norway. (Film 4, oct 23)

Another film, these two stages are usually very popular with the shooters

Hunting & Fishing Deer shooting in commercial forestry

A short film showing deer hunting in commercial forestry. Quite often they are hidden in plantations and require accurate shots.

Hunting & Fishing Practice payoff - deer headshot

Yeah it's really nice and soft, you can still keep going here at age 100.
