    M40A1 Pictures

A month or so late but they are not New Zealanders. They are British Royal Marines. The one behind the rifle is at least a Major General as he's wearing the Gereral Officer's badge on his beret rather than the usual RM badge. The Royal Marines stable belts and the shade of green of the beret...

    Parker Hale M82 Clone

A few years ago (about 25), the NZ Police sold off a few sniper rifles that had belonged to the Special Tactics Group (STG). They were mainly Steyr SSG69 PII and at least one PI, with Kahles ZF69 6x scopes but there a couple of Parker Hale C3 rifles, also with the Kahles ZF69 scopes. I brought...

Suppressors I'm no suppressor fanatic but WOW TBAC

Fortunately suppressor ownership and use is one of the few things our Government didn't fuck up when they changed our gun laws a couple of years ago. We still buy them over the counter like a sling or scope and there are no restrictions on their use.

    PSA: I'm a complete tool

Spray a whole heap of WD-40 down the bore. That will make it easier to get the snake out. Spray from both ends to get as much of the string as possible wet.

9mm Bolt Action Rifle - Looking for people with experience with the manufacturer (Curtis Tactical)

Different type of animal here. Cute, but purely a pest here. Civic duty to shoot every one you see or run over any seen on the road. Australian bushy tailed possum: Usually shot with a .22 and a spotlight, but for large areas, poison is the only really effective way to kill them. A Ruger...

Any idea on the price? 9mm would work well on possums and rabbits.

Rifle Scopes Kahles ZF69 Turret Screw Size?

Anyone know what the size is for the three little screws on the turrets of an old Kahles ZF69 6x42? Missing one and would like to replace it and get a couple of spares. I emailed Swarovski but never got a reply.

    Photos Picture request 40mm ammo

Don't have a round from a grenade launcher handy, but I do have a 7.62x51mm. Will that do? I think I have a 40mm grenade case somwhere. I'll have a dig around in the garage.

BREN gun semi-auto build...vintage sniper? 1.5 MOA groups. VIDEO UP!

Yes, we still have fully automatic firearms but they must be stored with a vital part removed and cannot be fired with live ammo. If you have a 'Theatrical' endorsement to your licence, they can be fired with blanks for making TV and movie productions. Any magazine, other than a pistol...

BREN gun semi-auto build...vintage sniper? 1.5 MOA groups. VIDEO UP!

And a picture of my own Bren: It is one of the 90 L4A4 7.62x51mm Brens purchased by the New Zealand Army in 1975 for 1RNZIR to keep commonality with the rest of 28th ANZUK Brigade. This one was converted by Enfield from a 1944 MkIII .303 Bren (probably in 1973 from the markings) and is one...

BREN gun semi-auto build...vintage sniper? 1.5 MOA groups. VIDEO UP!

I used .303 Brens in basic training in 1986. I think we were the last unit to use them. The .303s were only in the training units by then but the Infantry Battalion in Singapore had the L4A4 7.62x51mm converted Brens. An old guy, Ivor, I used to shoot with years ago was in France with the...

    Maggie’s Best shot ever

Arrived at the 100m range for a club shoot with a few other guys. A magpie was digging for bugs in the backstop. As I got my .22 out for the shoot, one guy says "Bet you can't hit that magpie." One shot, standing, with an old Anshutz 1400 with a cheap 4X scope, I hit it and sent feathers...
