    Larue lower blowout

Now I'm confused. Sale wasn't of stripped lowers but complete lowers - i.e. lower parts kit installed, LaRue trigger, RAT stock, etc. I'm actually pretty pissed I just missed out on this deal And I already have two complete LaRue AR15's, a LaRue AR10, stripped AR15 and AR10 LaRue lowers I...

Suppressors Best bang for the buck

Also, keep in mind what is "best" really depends on your use and what is important to you. For me, actual decibel reduction is generally less important than other things. Whether you're shooting a 24" bolt gun or a 10.5" AR any center fire round that's going supersonic is not really going to...

Suppressors Best bang for the buck

DA Nomad TI is a really nice can, particularly if you want to go light. It's literally like a feather. And compared to my Sandman S, I would say the tone/suppression is better. TI should be fine on a bolt action rifle. You do have to watch your temps. with TI, but you're not going to be...

Suppressors Best bang for the buck

Well, since the criteria is "best bang for buck" not best suppressor, I'm surprised no one has mentioned KGM R30. Specifically designed to either enhance (or at least not degrade) accuracy, well built, good suppression, and significantly reduces recoil. More importantly, you can currently pick...

    Which "gucci" ar to get?

CLE upper maybe with a LMT MARS lower since its fully ambidextrous. Can't go wrong with a Krieger or Bartlien barrel. For a bench gun I really like a Magpul PRS stock. Geissele or LaRue trigger.

    Anyone running a DDMK18 Suppressed?

I shoot my MK18 suppressed almost 100% of the time. Run a Sandman S and a Trijicon MRO red dot. I believe I either have an H2 or an H3 buffer. Gun is pretty soft shooting, and I've run 1000+ rounds through it. Don't think I've ever had a FTF/FTE, including when I've shot in subzero temps.

    KAC SR25 challenge!!!

Best advice in this thread so far. ;) Going 35k rounds between barrel changes does give you an idea of how important accuracy is to the KAC owner. I guess bullets key holing is actually another advanced design feature of KAC rifles. :)

    KAC SR25 challenge!!!

I'm really loving this post. Let's be honest. 90--95% of AR owners maybe shoot their gun less than a half dozen times a year. If they can hit a tin can at 50 yards or a balloon at 100 from a concrete bench they're happy. Of the remaining 5-10% who actually go to the range on a regular basis...

    KAC SR25 challenge!!!

Haven't read through this entire thread in a while. Trying to remember - has anyone actually met the challenge and gotten the $100? I mean it's been like 3 years and we have 500+ posts. And maybe it's worth taking a step back and breaking down exactly what KAC owners think they are getting...

    KGM R30T adapters?

Specs do list a 1 oz. difference in weight. My understanding is that the only difference is different mounting system to comply with FBI requirements for repeatability. I do note that the list price for the T is $200 more. Like several other posters, I couldn't resist a 30T on sale. Picked...

Where do you trust to buy ammo for a good price online?

Another fan of SG Ammo. Target Sports USA is also GTG. And if you go through a lot of ammo it's probably worth buying a membership. Free shipping and reduced prices on ammo. For pistol ammo, I've had pretty good luck with LAX. Also buying direct from Norma. If you're looking for good...

    Steiner T432…..

Don't really have a recommendation for a red dot, but another T432 owner and I also like mine a lot. Puzzled by the comment that they are "bullshit regarding accuracy". Unlike a rifle I've never really thought of a scope as being "accurate" or "inaccurate". Do you mean the zero wanders? You...

    SBR suppressor durability

So I guess I have skin in the game since I own a Sandman S and a Nomad Ti and have a Sierra 5 in jail. I do participate in a couple of forums (although not Reddit) and have seen some people have issues with the Sierra 5, but I thought that was a few early ones. All I can say is that zero...

    Optic Considerations/Choices for 16” AR - 223

Glad to hear it. I'm 65, have tachycardia that results in heart racing at 120 BPM, and a bad back. So heart of a hummingbird and the strength of 1/2 man.:) Seriously, if I'm going to be shooting offhand it's nice to have a lighter scope. Off a bench or a barricade don't really care if my...

    Optic Considerations/Choices for 16” AR - 223

Josh, as I think you recognize, one thing you're going to have to decide is how much magnification you want/need. This will depend largely on what type of shooting you do and at what distance. Having a scope with 1x on the low end is really nice if you are shooting offhand, want to be able to...

    Pistol brace SBR free registration?

JohnCarter - Apple not Windows, but I did figure it out. Once I knew what to do it was pretty straightforward. It was the first one that took a while and was frustrating. But I also made it easier on myself because I'd recently bought a couple of suppressors and the place doing the transfer...

    Pistol brace SBR free registration?

Richard - I have to take issue with your statement that: "The world is full of Felons both incarcerated and out of jail that believed that they could ‘beat’ the system." I'm sorry, I just don't buy that anyone who fails to fill out all the appropriate paperwork and register their brace with...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Better "Anti-Social" shotguns today? Beretta, Benelli, other?

Yes, if you're shooting slugs at 50 yards ghost ring rear and post up front will be more accurate. A dot will be even faster. And I'm pretty sure you can get a 1301 in this configuration. Plus, as someone else has mentioned I believe the new 1301's come with an extended mag tube. Shouldn't...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Better "Anti-Social" shotguns today? Beretta, Benelli, other?

I have a 1301 and a Turknelli (Benelli clone made in Turkey). I like and shoot the 1301 more. A couple of reasons. One 1301 has traditional shotgun stock, whereas the Turknelli has a pistol grip stock. As someone who's spent some time shooting traditional shotguns I find it shoulders more...

    Finally bought my first AR

DD are very nice rifles. I have an MK18 upper on a lower I put together myself that I like a lot. I'd hold off a little while on the brace/stock, until we get some clarity on the legality of the ATF's recent rule change from the courts. If they somehow reinstate the legality of braces, maybe...
