I'd be all over it if I was in the US. a Grendel is still the best thing you can jam into an AR15, even down to a 10.5"
.300aac is overrated + over marketed, who gives a shit about subsonic etc etc
as a non-delusional civilian, I don't think I care how an optic fares in an imaginary combat use-case
e: of course I own S&B, ACOGs, elcans, etc, so, whatever
There's room for improvement in all of the optics of this type.
Ultimately I'd like a 1/4x Elcan SpecterDR style optic, with a fiber optic/led lit reticle, in a size/weight similar to an ACOG with internal adjustments and choice of mounting systems - preferably mount in a 34mm ring a la...
the side pockets on them are super useless. I have the 30 and 45. Pretty awesome other than that. I'd consider buying the non-leaf "Miura" instead 'cos it doesn't have the daisy chains and shit all over it. No compression straps tho
Which gen did you use? "Apparently" there were improvements. I've had 2 of the 3rd gen 1/4x both of which work fine with none of the POI shift etc reported
yes yes sample size, whatever
got a couple of gov't profile DD barrels (12.5 and 11.5) coming, CHF 1:7" all that, what kind of accuracy are people seeing out of them? I'll be hand loading 69-77gr match bullets in one, shooting factory steel match hornady from the other
