    Standard for Measuring Groups?

    I believe this is how the benchrest folks do it, and it works well. For me, I've come to realize that at most I care about the tenths of inches. 1.0XX inches vs .7XX inches vs .4XX inches and so on, so I don't worry about it much and just eyeball the calipers to the center of the outside...

    MPA Spigot Mount Adapter for Magnetospeed Sporter

    Excellent, thank you for sharing. I need to do something similar for my V1.

    Bighorn TL3 / XLR Shouldered and Prefit Switch barrel testing/review

    Removing the ejector? I'm not sure why you'd need to, I haven't on the three TL3's I've installed barrel nut style barrels on. If there is an important reason to do so I'd love to know it. There is an issue with the extractor, namely trying to "snap" the extractor claw over a steel gauge. I...

    Best RRS Setup for McMillan Stock?

    I'll second the two t-nut option. I've set three Manners stocks up that way, works great.

    Looking to shed some weight. (shorty 6.5x47L build)

    If you watch Manners stocks for sale page closely I'm sure you could find a stock before hunting season. Or for a few extra ounces you could pick up this one today...

    Range Report 6mm Dasher & 110 SMK's

    Also, I'm running a customized Primal Rights kit as the OAL of my setup was too long as it was manufactured. Shortened up the spacer on a belt sander and glued it in place.

    Range Report 6mm Dasher & 110 SMK's

    This is the load I've been running in competition: 110 @ ~ .015" jam 31.7 Varget CCI 400 Lapua brass 2866 fps (magnetospeed at three sessions) - 26" 1-7.5 Kreiger G7 of .315 Using these inputs in my BallisticsARC program has provided accurate data out to 1100 yds consistently.

    The broken pin was replaced for free. They gave me a deal on the shroud assy due to the circumstances, I'm not sure what the standard pricing is.

    ++Bighorn TL3 Builds++

    I broke a TL3 firing pin after a lot of dryfire as well, probably 10k or so. Exact same scenario as you except it wasn't at a match. I did have a match that weekend and pirated a shroud assembly from one of my other actions for the match. They replaced the broken pin and I bought a spare shroud...

    It's a 7.5 twist Kreiger.

    Range Report 6x47 and 110 SMK?

    I can't see any reason they wouldn't, they've been shooting solid in my 6 Dasher. Definitely a drift edge vs Hybrids.

    Butt pad vs collar bone

    A few things: Shooting from a downhill angle to a target above you while prone is an awkward position, and will make it hard to pocket the buttstock well as you experienced. I like stocks with high heels so that they catch as much shoulder as possible in those types of positions. You can...

    Hornady powder sleeve for case activated powder measure for 6.5 Creedmoor/260...etc.

    I don't know of a factory solution. I just bought a couple .224 sleeves to replace the one I drilled out (1/4" drill bit) so it would run more reliably with my 6.5x47L cases. It hasn't bridged since.

    ++Bighorn TL3 Builds++

    In my experience the Bighorn is MORE sensitive than the Defiance to off axis bolt pressure, specifically if you press up on the bolt knob it can bind. Some of that abated as it broke in, mostly I've tweaked how I operate the bolt. If I grab it and try to operate it to make it bind I can easily...

    ++Bighorn TL3 Builds++

    Great looking rifle Sheldon, I bet you end up liking it a lot. I ran my TL3/Dasher combo in a match for the first time this weekend. Coming from an excellent Deviant/6.5x47L combo I was a little concerned the new rifle would leave something wanting, no longer. It ran flawlessly and it's...

    Rifle Scopes Most reliable tracking and repeatability

    The Bushnell DMR and DMR II of mine have seen lots of use and some intentional abuse, and have remained mechanically perfect. I'm tempted at times to "upgrade" to something with a higher price tag, but it's hard when I have as much confidence as I do in that design. I'm sure some have issues...

    Are 147gr ELDs grouping for you?

    Interesting... I don't have anything slower than H4350 to try, but perhaps I can dig something up. Hopefully I can report results in a couple days.

    A&D FX120i labscale reloading upgrade with V2 auto trickler review.

    I've had my FX120i for a while, from back when they were considerably cheaper. It really made a difference on target keeping my vertical consistent at longer range vs my Hornady Autocharge. Which was NOT good. Chargemasters seem noticeably better. I picked up a V2 Auto trickler this year and...

    Are 147gr ELDs grouping for you?

    John, I'm doing some 147/6.5x47 development this week, thanks for those results! What was your seating depth in relationship to the lands, and have you tried tweaking the depth at all? Thanks, Carl
