Anyone have the Eberlestock G2 GUNSLINGER II

Had one and sold it. It would be fine for toting a rifle and gear around for a few miles, but mine lacked structure and turned into a floppy mess over about 45#.

Help with 224 Valkyrie AR accuracy issues

I feel your pain. I built one with almost exactly the same barrel (mine is a 24") from Craddock. My problems were different from yours, but just as frustrating. I've resigned myself to shooting this barrel out in local matches and then switching to 6 ARC. If the suggestions above don't fix...

    224 Valkyrie gas port errosion

My Valk looks a lot like that with 1,000 on it. It looked that after 300, though. I don't think you're going to be able to estimate round count with port erosion.

Mid weight 6.5 bullets Lapua 120,123 136 or Berger?

The 130 Scenars have been excellent for me. I don't shoot my .260 much anymore, but it really performs when I do break it out of the back of the safe.

Gas blow back with TBAC Ultra 7 or 9 on a precision semi-auto?

I must be the only one. I run an Ultra 5 on a couple .223's and a Valk. All run AGB's. The 14.5" .223 gasses me out pretty darn good.

    550 vs 750 accuracy loading

I load all precision ammo on a 550. It's a beautiful thing. I trim dirty brass, clean it, anneal it, then straight to the 550. One trip through the press. Once I get to the press, I'm loading two rounds a minute. I also have a 750 and a 1050, and I wouldn't consider loading precision ammo...

    Buffer Weights?

Increasing buffer or carrier weight have roughly the same effect. Increasing buffer weight might be slightly better for reliability because that mass actually bounces once when it drives the carrier home adding some hammer effect to bang it closed. I'm running a JP adjustable mass BCG in a...

Vertical zero shifting with new AR15 build

I've been struggling with a rifle with a very similar problem. I'd put a zero on it and then halfway through a match the zero would shift by like a lot. Not heat related. It's a Valk, Bartlein chambered by Craddock, Wilson upper and lower, blah, blah, blah. After screwing with it extensively...

    Best Reloading Room Contest

Ha! I miss the old 40x Mafia. Buying a Voodoo is too easy. You should have to suffer with converting a rifle built in the 60s. 40x Crips is cool. I do love my Dillons.

Need help putting together 22LR AR15

Correct, my Compass Lake conversion wouldn't run. To be fair, it ran fine on the supersonic ammo it was probably designed for. Subsonic match ammo did not have enough energy to reliably cycle the action. I have a friend with one, and I swapped parts back and forth between them. His ran, mine...

Need help putting together 22LR AR15

I've been searching for exactly what you're after for about 4 years now. I started with a Nordic. Accuracy was OK and it was relatively reliable. On the advice of another hide member, I next tried a conversion from Compass Lake. Accuracy was eventually pretty darn good, but it was very...

    .224 Valkyrie Buffer & Spring....which one?

I’m running an SCS in my 24” Craddock barreled Valk. I like the option of substituting tungsten weights if a little more thump is needed to get the bolt home. In fact, I am running at least one tungsten weight. Might be two. Old fart memory... Im also using the JP adjustable mass BCG. Pretty...

    Gunsmithing Shopfox M1112

I'm a professional cabinetmaker. We have one piece of ShopFox equipment in the shop, and it will be the last. It really is crap. I obviously can't speak directly to the quality of their lathes, but I'd steer clear on general principals.

    Sig customer service

I dropped my Sig kilo 3000 rangefinders at a match last week. Actually they blew over while attached to the tripod and hit concrete. Came up nonfunctional. I returned them and sent a letter explaining exactly what had happened and offering to pay for repairs. Instead, they sent me a new pair at...

Anyone ever gotten through to Sig customer service?

I broke my Kilo 3000's a few weeks ago. I've sent a couple messages through the website and just today waited in the telephone que. After holding for an hour or so it started ringing, but no one ever picked up. I'm hoping it's just holiday season backup. Anyone else ever had success...

Help deciding on AR15 barrel choice

White oak has been an extremely consistent performer for me. Every one, out of about 10, has shot into 1/2" with a little load development.
