    Re: looking for a good muzzel brake here is one of Ross' brakes. due to a gunsmith miscommunication, it got taken down to the diameter of the barrel instead of tapered. some of that metal on the top portion is .05in thick, but it works!

    Re: Long action with a SA cartridge it should, i know that the army (or was it the marines) used rifles chambered in 7.62x51 with a LA. this was so they could rebarrel them to a LA cartridge in the future at a lower price. a short action would be ideal, but it would work.

    Re: Millett TRS1 The test Concludes i used to own a TRS1, the only problem i found was a tiny spring located at the 12:00 position just forward and partially under the magnification ring that worked its way out. not sure what its purpose was. the scope operated fine without it.
