    check your mills of travel, I have a Burris and I thought I had bottomed it out first time messing with zero stop and I was way off so had to loosen the screws and two complete revolutions to bottom it out.     Talking of optics I was using a Burris XTRii- 4-20 mildot great scope but overkill on an AR. Presently have the Leupold VX-R 3-9 patrol rifle optic back on it. Great scope for the money plus it is very lightweight
