    Drying brass?

Re: Drying brass? When a buddy of mine needs his brass in a hurry he will put them in a dehydrator for a while. He swears by it. I have heard others lay them on a cookie sheet on the lowest oven setting and allow it to dry. I don't normally need mine that quick so I do the lay out on a...

Re: Are you seeing much here? As windy as it was this weekend, I'm impressed they look that good. I would wait for another day and then try some 44.8...that is the one I like of what you have there.

    Pressure on AR???

Since there isn't a bolt to open how do you watch for pressure issues on an AR? Is it primer flattening? Thanks, loaded up first test loads for AR and want to be safe with my testing.

Open for suggestions building on a 30-06 bolt face

Re: Open for suggestions building on a 30-06 bolt face I did the 6.5 Creedmoor from a 30-06 and main reason over the other 6.5's was brass availability and price. I have about 100 rounds through it and it appears it is going to be a shooter.

    savge 260 long action

Re: savge 260 long action I had a Savage 30-06 that I didn't like and had my smith rebarrel it to a 6.5 Creedmoor...best decision I ever made, I love the gun now. I had him remove the ugly azz barrel nut and the barrel was done like the other manufacturers do.

    What rifle to start with

Re: What rifle to start with Straight out of the box...5R, Tikka, Savage (one with accustock) and then all other Remingtons. I don't know about the 308 but the lighter calibers twist rates on the varmit stuff will not handle heavier bullets so look into that if you go with the varmit model 308.

    OCW vs Ladder...

To prevent jacking the other load development thread. I read the link and was very taken back at how much sense it appears to me the OCW makes over Ladder testing...the guy broke it down so even a dummy (me) or caveman could understand. Anyway...what do you do? I have been ladder testing but...

    Kudos to McGowen Precision!

Re: Kudos to McGowen Precision! I had my 30-06 rebarrelled to a 6.5 Creedmoor and my smith said he liked McGowen barrels that everyone he had done were shooters so I told him to do it. I have right at 100 rounds through it and still working a load but it looks promising at this point.

    mpro-7

Re: mpro-7 I use it or Breakfree CLP...both are pretty darn good as a CLP. I haven't used their copper stuff, I ordered BoreTech for that as it seemed to get the best reviews across the board.

    Hornday Shell holder?

Re: Hornday Shell holder? I get some that do that but wiggling normally gets them all the way in there. It seems to get better but my ratio is the exact opposite of yours I bet I had 2-3 per 50 that I loaded recently.
