Boeing 737 Max at it again

Loved the 321 neo, company had the leap’s thought. No issues, it’s everything the max hopes it could be. Wish I was still on it. edited to add: at least after the initial issues with them were sorted.

    Throwing N570

Have to dumb it down with n570, tuned chargemaster threw those Lincoln logs like a champ. My buddies and I exclusively run it in the big magnums. Everything from the 28 nosler to 37XC.

Maggie’s Motorcycles from Eastern WA to Fairbanks

I don’t know much about the Canadian side, but once you get to god‘s country, the main highway is paved. Though, in places, it can be a frost heaved mofo. If you take a side trip up to Chicken out of Tok, that road isn’t, though it is maintained by the state. Same with hotels… You’ll find a...

New build options. 6.5 vs. 7 PRC?

Why hasn't anyone asked what the op intends to do with said rifle? Intent, ie, hunting, steel? Ranges? It’s hard to answer a generalized question with unknown variables.

New to this long range lead delivery...I just picked up my first LR rifle....Its the basic 338 Lapua Magnum

Head over to the training section of the forum. 338 lapua isn’t even my 5th suggestion for a new shooter, but you’ve got it, so might as well learn. If it’s validation you want, go some where else.

300 Norma Mag on a ‘stock’ Remington 700 Long Action?

Yeah, no. Can the action handle it? Sure, but there’s not enough meat there to handle any appreciable round count, for a class, ELR match, or whatever. I was at a class with a certain person here that had that kind of build, I remember watching as he literally kicked the bolt open because...

Need a Solution to "I'll take it"

It seems, with out getting too complicated nor expensive, to take the “I’ll take it” functions private. Whether it’s a button private only to the seller, or change the rules to ”pm me for sale info”. That way it doesn’t kill the public questions. At that point it’s on the seller/buyer to verify...

Boeing 737 Max at it again

Maybe the extra time is the 3-5 other techs standing there supervising the work and guy #1. Guys #2-5 supervise each other. Standard phraseology is: Great job everyone, we’re hero’s today.

Boeing 737 Max at it again

Just to add to the conversation, you‘re not wrong. The high vs low altitude fuel burn that @rjacobs just talked about is a huge factor. Another piece to the puzzle is, most every operator adjusts the take off, climb, cruise and descent profiles based off a bunch of stuff like atmospherics...

Boeing 737 Max at it again

Word on the street is the feds have approved the mx(maintenance) procedures a couple days ago. Minimum 12 hour inspection process. Work was supposed to have the first one flying today, albeit they’re doing the first flights of each tail with min crew only.

Boeing 737 Max at it again

Haven’t flown the max 8 yet as work has just acquired its very first one. The 9 on the other hand gives you 1500 fpm at FL200, that’s what you get. The best we could do In a heavy max 9 FL320-340, and VNAV is going to give you the porpoising climb to get there. I honestly think the 900ER’s are a...

Boeing 737 Max at it again

Years ago, on an old 737-200, we were getting ready to go until the ground crew told us something looked off with one of the nose tires. One was completely flat and had the bead broken, but you could only tell from a certain angle. If you just glanced at it, like I admittedly did, you would...

Lightweight FFP Mil scope that tracks reliably

Are you looking for the lightest weight all up as possible? I spent the last year chasing that, trying to prove the ultra light rifle concept. I ended up with a 5lb 10oz all up rifle, it was a joy to hike with but super hard to drive. It exploits every compromise in fundamentals. I’ve now had a...
