    6mm ARC Brass Forming

AMP annealer sitting in the garage. havent been able to plug it in yet, but tomorrow should be fun. I've got hundreds of cases ready to anneal then neck turn. Found primers today (limit 400), and got some LeverEvolution and some bullets and powder for 300PRC too. great day next week should be...

    300 PRC update

wow, good catch. I've had that from 6.5 Horn brass when I was sizing it way too much (learning). Even then it took 4 or 5 loadings. I now bump minimally...Not saying that's the case here. That Chassis looks awesome. I just scored ~75 new ADG cases I'm about to load some more mild-moderate loads...

    Options for Adding More Elevation

I saw that vid. It looks like a good explanation of options. I don't think he had the Ivey base in there though. The Ivey does add a bit to the height as well. Just yesterday I took off the cheek riser completely and just put some mousepad and tape directly on the tube of the stock, right where...

    New 6mm Advanced Rifle Cartridge

All starline brass. as for the Us, I *think it is just neck uniformity differences, not the necks being pulled off center - but I'd like to make sure of that. https://21stcenturyinnovation.com/buy-online/ols/products/caliber-specific-expander-mandrel

    New 6mm Advanced Rifle Cartridge

Down to last 25 pieces of brass to neck turn. I have found about 10/20% have differences in the neck thickness or have the necks pulled off center. If you look at the picture close the top brass has a spot on the neck that has not been touched by the blade. The brass on bottom is a comparison...

    300 PRC update

looong barrel w low mount + big brake/supressor + lots of elevation ~ blurry scope? but 30" does sound nice.

    300 PRC update

great input, thanks. I've already been thinking about/checking the COAL in relation to the method you mentioned. For now I am sticking with mag len, but I do specifically remember checking to make sure they matched shoulder and boat tail fairly closely as you mentioned. I bought the Ivey for the...

Dry neck lube when seating bullets & Inside neck honing

Yep, Just finished another set f test groups for 300PRC. I have annealed with AMP so there is some residual stuff inside the necks. I tumbled with SS media for 1 hour, rinsed, baked dry, then tried honing the inside necks for the first time. Used the bore brush and some small patches of fine...

Dry neck lube when seating bullets & Inside neck honing

That makes sense. I also bushing and mandrel size, I just have only been using the dry lube for bullet seating, duh. I'll run it that way next time and will probably try dipping the heel of the bullet to boot. I was thinking about brushes or loading Q tips AFTER the powder drops, but I hope the...

Dry neck lube when seating bullets & Inside neck honing

Does anyone use this on the inside of the necks when seating to reduce initial pressure spikes and lower SDs? If so how do you apply the dry lube. It seems if you dip the necks in the media then drop powder and seat, the powder may knock off most of what was there. I dip the heel of the bullet...

    Took the 33xc 3050 yards

Great looking rifle and shooting. I see you are running the Ivey(loving mine) and I see some others using them as well. Are most competitors running adj bases, or CTs, or a combo or base/rings etc...

Ivey Adjustable base with Sightron SIII 10-50 on 6.5 CM

Well, this challenge has morphed a bit. I managed to get a 300PRC used so that is now the "mile-rifle" and have moved the IveTron setup over to that rifle. So now what to do with this 6.5CM? I think for now I will plop an ATN on it and try to get some footage and see if that scope will work...

    300 PRC update

Working up loads for my new mile-build/attempt. Using N565 and 7828SSC for now with H225 gn ELDMs. ladder loads and initial groups look promising. I'm able to get almost 3k with each powder without pressure. Have 230A-tips ready once I've got a few more rounds down it. SD was 10ish. This is my...

What scope is everyone running for elr

I just got back from shooting the Bergara 300PRC with IveyTron setup. I ran ladder loads and put a few lower velocity nodes on paper. I have to laugh now, looking back... I was shooting Waaaay high at first on the 200 yd berm. My spotter was like uh dang you are way high, Then I spotted my shot...

Adjustable elevation rails, Cold Shot vs WR Precision

^^^ what he said makes sense to me. the lockout I think is key in these adjustable bases. the ivey has locknut. I'd consider the cold shot if it had a good lock down.

Adjustable elevation rails, Cold Shot vs WR Precision

I'm running the Ivey on 6.5CM mostly. I haven't had it long, but its awesome. Having down to 2.5 MOA hashes helps. I basically just dial base and hold reticle. Another ELR shooter said the up elevation at ELR distances can be un reliable. I can't say I've tried any other adjustable units...

    New 6mm Advanced Rifle Cartridge

So the .241 mandrel would leave just a tad less neck tension is that correct? I'm looking for ways to reduce neck tension on a few specialty match rounds. I already mandrel size but just got into neck turning and I think that will help a bit. Was at the local enabler yesterday. they have some...

    New 6mm Advanced Rifle Cartridge

Got chrono data on my 105 VLD rounds at 600 yds to true my BC's because who really trusts Litz? I hid it behid the 4x4 sighing plate. I also got some incoming POV video with DSLR and will be trying to get bullet trace. The Bog took some hits on that though. Dang thing ain't even bullet proof...
