It's a bargaining chip. Remember what happened in 1984? Unfortunately, people that want SBRs/suppressors/etc are a minority. As such, the NRA can please the majority of gun owners by sacrificing the NFA population to appease the idiots in Washington.- Sugarbug

You and I agree 100%. By no means should you take what I said as my agreeing with the way suppressors are currently handled. I don't think any weapon/accessory that is currently an NFA item will ever be removed from NFA status. Do you want to be the politician/official that promoted removing suppressors from being registered and then have someone go on a shooting spree with one? Where do I retire ???
I've lived all over. Near New Orleans in Louisiana and in Pensacola and Jacksonville in Florida. Way, way too hot in the summers for me. Of the three, Pensacola is the nicest for access to the gulf and lower population density. New Orleans has great culture, but I don't plan on staying around...- Sugarbug

Not much for a normal operations base/facility. Of course people are already talking about the fact that one of the guys was a CHP holder... like it matters. This was DC and on a base. You can't get much more strict laws than that and it still happened.- Sugarbug

Need an AR-10 Variant, need it fast... What are the options for a GOOD/GREAT platform?
Do this. Doesn't matter if one is "handy" or not. Everything for an AR lower is drop-in. Get a good lower... Seekins, MEGA, etc that you can get before the ban is in place-- be sure it's an AR10 lower. Everything else can be sent to your house, but the lower is the "firearm." Like ORD...- Sugarbug
