First time I tried to take the bolt apart I turned the wrong way and it didn't come apart. You have to push the plunger in and turn it clockwise and it should turn maybe 1/8th turn and pull right out. Don't lose the plunger and spring.

NO GUNSMITH Practical Custom Rifle Build

My thoughts but not sure if loaded mag counts towards weight. CDG 34oz could be a couple of oz lighter with fixed bolt handle. 20" carbon barrel blank roughly 45oz Manners LRH with mini chassis 43oz maybe 45oz with pic rail added, no other options, comes with arca rail. Leupold mk 5 3.6-18...

Coup De Grâce, New Action from American Rifle Company, $899 WOW!

Picked up my RHLA MAG BF yesterday. Ordered it around 1200 EST on 2/8. Noticed the trigger hanger is different than all the others on here. Also has a C by the bolt handle instead of an A.

    The Fix from Q

Back when kevin was on here I got him to let us do it with whatever barrel because it would be on us if the barrel was shit. I mentioned doing it back then.

I'm looking at the CIP length MDT or Accurate Mag for the 7PRC.

I would think all cases could benefit, even .535 and .588 case heads, from the conical breech since there is no feed ramp in the action. My thought is why not have it just for that little extra reassurance that everything is going to go where it needs to be. This would kill the off the shelf...

Coup De Grâce, New Action from American Rifle Company, $899 WOW!

I'm looking at the Bartlein Carbon 24" for a 7 PRC. Figure I have enough time to find one or order one by the time my action gets here and I actually feel like starting to build it. Slap it in a Manners LRH with a mini chassis. I think that would be solid rig for just about anything. What I am...

It's possible. I also ordered a long action which probably has no effect on the number. It would appear my math skills are lacking this morning as well. 🤦

Order number SO-0369XX, took about 20-30 mummies for it to show up in my orders. What's that make it, over 5k ordered in a hour and a half?

I emailed WTO about the switch lug and was told they haven't had one in hand but their ARC switch lug should work for it.

This is the animation I watched and now that you have enlightened me I can kind of see it at about the 3 minute mark it looks like it pushed back on the cocking piece a little.

Ok, i was thinking the firing pin would drop before you could get the bolt close enough to cause that but i may still be thinking incorrectly about the way the two parts interface.

I did and all it showed me was my ignorance of how the 700 works, so I did some research. I do not have a 700 currently to see it first hand so i had to watch some animations. Best I can tell, is that when the bolt is closed hard and fast on a light trigger the sear will bump down allowing the...

Coup De Grâce, New Action from American Rifle Company, $899 WOW!

I've not done anything long action before and this seems like a good action to start with but I have some questions. The information page on this says AW mags prefered but not 100% needed, I'm going to assume this is just for the short actions, correct? If not, would the hard stop mentioned be...
