Savage 10 vs Remington 700 SR

If you're planning on shooting subsonic I would go with the fastest Twist u can find. I have both a 700 and savage model 10. I like the savages because of the accustock, trigger and ease of caliber change. Your taking a chance on either weather or not its gonna be a good shooter. If you go...

You put your money in an envelope and mail it to me... ; )

Advice plesae. Where do I put my money now to reach my long range shooting goals?

Theres no piece of equipment you can buy that replaces experience. Trigger time trigger time trigger time. Get out and shoot and take notes.

    trg mag conversion

I haven't tried the conversion but cant see any benefit other then the cost per mag. The trg feeds faster and smoother then any other system ive used. At least in 308. The aics 223 plastic mags are nice.

Recommended .22 WMR rifle and loads for hunting hogs?

Volquartsen makes some pretty nice 22 wm. If you can run a semi auto. Other then that I would second the cz

What should I engrave on my lower? Saying, picture, etc.?

I personally like molan labe. Or similar. Only tyrants disarm honest men etc..

    Which chassis??? (<$800 with folder)

Third eye tactical makes a pretty nice one too. Thanks. I didn't even think about that.. the folding adapter may be on order.

    Which chassis??? (<$800 with folder)

I couldn't be happier with my xlr chassis. My one gripe is that if your running the cheek piece high you have to lower it via allen wrenches to insert a cleaning rod. Cant say anything about the others.

    "Practicality" of a Monopod?

Depends on your stock design. If the rear of your stock has a hook or doesn't ride bags well a monopod may work nicer. I personally like the feeling that it's a part of the gun and saves a lot of carry weight. A heavy bench rest gun with wide flat front clamped in a vise will produce great...

Jp ctr-02 lower really worth 400?

It does look way nicer in the back with a matched set.. found a few pics of the upper on various other lowers and it looks pieced together.

Jp ctr-02 lower really worth 400?

My thoughts exactly. If money was unlimited i would have purchased a new complete rifle. I didnt want to lose potential by running something other then jp ctr-02. 90% sure ill be ordering the area 53. I like the oversized guard and grip on the front of the mag well. thanks for reassuring my gut...

Jp ctr-02 lower really worth 400?

I recently purchased a jp ctr-02 upper from a member on this site. Im super excited as it has everything and more that i wanted from an ar. When i found this upper i fully expected to get the matching jp lower for it... Till i saw that it costs 400 bare. So this brings up my question. Is the...

nosler custom comp 77 g. In jp ctr-02

The biggest reason I want to make the 77 gainers work is because they are available in bulk. I do have some 69 gainers but my bolt 223 is 1x9 and loves them and they are hard to come by.

nosler custom comp 77 g. In jp ctr-02

I was wondering if anyone has had any success running the nosler custom competition 77 gainers in the jp precision ctr-02 1x8 twist? If so what did it like? Thanks nick.

    dpms g2 catering primers

If you do have excess gap between the firing pin and the bolt you definitely don't want to try hand loads near the high end. You will blow primers. I know you can have bolt action bushed to tighten it up but it may be easier to replace an ar bolt if you decide it's necessary.

    ACR or SCAR

It may be the plastic stock latch u mentioned. I'm not sure. I wasn't there. I just thought it was worth forwarding the info so anyone who is considering one can do there own research. A lot of times on shooting forums you will get reviews on products people spent several grand on and they feel...

    ACR or SCAR

Other then holding one at my local shop I have no experience with either. However. My brother in law just got back from Afghanistan and he said you wouldn't believe how bad the special forces guys bash the scar.. He said they break all the time and can't handle the recoil..

    Best to find "best" load

Since your starting out I suggest doing it with a caliber like 308. This way data and supplies will be readily available. Nothing worse then getting a load close and not being able to get one piece of the puzzle. Ex powder primer or bullet and having to start over all the time. Then I will load...

    trg bipod or lra?

Being a welder I can say that I am not impressed with the welds I see on the trgs. They look like fusion welds without metal added. Which is easier and sometimes looks better but lacks the strength. I kinda assumed it would still be strong enough for the application. Of course I find a trg for...
