    Sent my Vortex Viper Gen II PST 5-25X50 back for illumination issue. Ate batteries in the off position in ~ 3 weeks. The replaced a chip that was NG. Got it back in 2 weeks. Hopefully they fixed the problem.

    Update. The New Lithium CR2032 battery just died after 3 weeks. Checked the illumination 2 days ago it was okay. Today it was dead. That's 3 dead batteries. I'm going to call Sport Optics and ask them if this was return. They will probably deny it. Guess it will have to go back to Vortex.

    Just checked Europtic, their price for the Vortex Viper PST Gen II 5-25x50 EBR-7C MRAD FFP Riflescope PST-5259 is 1099.99. Iv've never sen this scope form them in the $600-660. Maybe I just missed a great sale day.

    Not everything made in China is junk. If I'm not mistaken Apple products are made there. So perhaps there is hope the OP will get a decent Arken scope.
