I bought a gun online sight unseen with a scope on it that I don't know what it is. I won't get to see the gun in person for a few weeks. All I know is that it is a fixed 6x and I have these 2 pictures. Any ideas what the scope could be? It doesn't appear like any old junk 6x scopes I know of...- Mordamer

Gunsmithing Another "Tell Me What I'm Looking At" Borescope Post (Sorry)
There is absolutely nothing wrong with anything in your pictures. The marks in the throat and on the start of the lands are an unavoidable byproduct of chambering a barrel. They are made by the reamer. They will be gone in another 50 or less rounds.- Mordamer

So what makes a barrel accurate?
A perfect barrel in my opinion would have the following qualities over it's entire length: -Groove diameter exactly on caliber size. -Bore diameter exactly on specified bore size. -All grooves the same width. -All lands the same width. -Each groove the same depth. -Each land the same profile...- Mordamer
