Fieldcraft What distance is your zero?

Almost all of my rifles have 100 yard zero, just simpler for me and less shit to think about, but on my 375 Cheytac I have the NF 8x32x56, which is great for magnification (when mirage isn't bad), but it doesn't have a lot of internal adjustment so I run 40 MOA Barrett rings on a 20 MOA Stiller...

    Fieldcraft Hecs

Anyone running the HECS Camo for hunting? I just ordered a set. Not sure if it's voodoo bs or not, but figured I would give it a go. Would love to hear some feedback if any of y'all have used it. I am doing a back country hunt in September in Montana's Bob Marshall Wilderness Area for...

375 Cheytac....IT'S ALIVE, RANGE REPORT TO FOLLOW!!

It was pretty bad at times today. We actually had to shade it with a target at times to film the image. I have more video but some of the files were too big for photobucket and if my dumbass edits it it ends up in the wrong format to save.

I am chomping at the bit to get up there, have been sweating my ass off down here in Vegas all summer, will be nice to be on top of the mountain in "The Bob"! It is less than a month away now....can't get here soon enough, just got my wolf tag ordered tonight on-line. Last time I hunted...

375 Cheytac....IT'S ALIVE, RANGE REPORT TO FOLLOW!!

One of my favorites! Good luck on your hunt. I know you've pulled some good game out of here. I remember the antelope you posted on the Barrett forum a few years back. Im sure you'll have a good run this time! My wife went to Law School with the owner's wife at Angry Hanks, really nice people...

Gauging interest, ELR Match in CO this Fall

Sounds fun, I am busy hunting in the fall, but would be definitely interested if you end up making a habit out of these matches.

6.5 SAUM: Whats the big deal

Again, I am not trying to be rude, but I would never go hunting without being prepared with whatever rifle I planned on using and to me that means knowing that I have the best performing load for my rifle, and have good data for it at various distances, I would never just go afield and hope my...

6.5 SAUM: Whats the big deal

We had a few bear encounters, one ate the guts out of my elk. Shot it in the afternoon. Had to come back for it the next morning. (It was in just about the shittiest spot I have seen or heard about! :). ). We had another that passed through camp twice. The camp one we saw, once in day...

6.5 SAUM: Whats the big deal

I get my brass prepped from Copper Creek, it is a little more money, but worth it to me not to have to get into the neck turning and all of the details of creating a piece of useable brass. Then I just resize and trim from there. I think maybe I am a bit more picky on what I take hunting with...

375 Cheytac....IT'S ALIVE, RANGE REPORT TO FOLLOW!!

May be back up in December for a predator hunt in Roundup at a buddy's ranch. May be able to meet up then. (I try to hit Angry Hanks Brewery every time I go through Billings, some of the best beer I've ever had!)

375 Cheytac....IT'S ALIVE, RANGE REPORT TO FOLLOW!!

Will do. This trip is not going to allow for much dicking around in civilization. I fly to Helena the 11th, we have to meet outfitter on the 12th and get our gear weighed out and put in panyards. We head in on 13th, come out the 21st and I'm getting back on a plane the afternoon of the 22nd...

6.5 SAUM: Whats the big deal

I wish DTA made a lefty! Not playing musical scopes or owning 4 $2K+ scopes would be handy! :). That bull pup design makes it kinda rough on lefties!

6.5 SAUM: Whats the big deal

I was just pulling numbers off shooter for my comment. I will have to look at my dope book to tell you for sure. I didn't mean to stir the pot on this deal it was literally a casual conversation when we were going over the "woulda, coulda, shoulda" scenarios after the fact. My cousins got...

6.5 SAUM: Whats the big deal

My dope at 500 is 6.5 MOA, 3.5 MOA to 300 roughly a 9.387" error. Still a spine shot on one of those big bastards. Closest thing to a laser as I have ever shot! :)
