    Gunsmithing Grizzly gunsmith lathe

Re: Grizzly gunsmith lathe The reason I asked is because this machine will probably be moved within a year to a bigger area(after its built) and I don't really want to bolt it to the floor where it will be first located.

    155gr scenar/palma, 20" gas and 26" bolt

Re: 155gr scenar/palma, 20" gas and 26" bolt You know I may just end up staying with the 175's. The FNAR shoots sub moa with them now. I did get some nice groups with just the 150 smk's.

Bad pressure issues and can't figure out Update

Re: Bad pressure issues and can't figure out why. Any chance the bullets shifted under recoil in the magazine and now is into the lands instead of jumping? Just a thought.

    155gr scenar/palma, 20" gas and 26" bolt

I've done a lot of reading on these 155's and to be honest I feel more confused then when I started to look at them. As you see I'm running two 308's one, a heavy barrel 20" FNAR(barII) and a R700 26". Here in Vegas the wind is blowing all the time. I've read these are both good and bad in the...

    Gunsmithing WARNER & SWASEY #3

Re: WARNER & SWASEY #3 I see a Grizzly G9729 for 1K looks clean. I think these are made in China though. Should I be Leary? Oh, and thanks for the suggestions, and I'm not looking to do any engine machine work at all, mostly accessories like v-belt to serpentine brackets, specialty stuff that...

    Gunsmithing WARNER & SWASEY #3

Re: WARNER & SWASEY #3 That's what I thought. I kept looking at the pics and saying "man that sucka looks real big". Thanks for the input. Could you guys recommend a lathe for the home in the $1000-$1500 range?

    Gunsmithing WARNER & SWASEY #3

Re: WARNER & SWASEY #3 I would use it mostly make parts, or true up an action. I was a mechanic for 30+ years so car stuff too(not engine machine work). I found this one for $1500.00, the guy says it works good but it looks kind of rough. Figured I'd offer him $750-$1000. Comes with tooling...

    Loading 243 using H4350 question.

Re: Loading 243 using H4350 question. I must be the only one that uses these powders. I love Hybrid 100v and Supreme 780 for heavy pills in the 243. Well heavy to me is 95gr. My stock Remmy doesn't handle the real big boys to well regardless of the powder.

Has Any one had an FN FNAR? Feedback?

Re: Has Any one had an FN FNAR? Feedback? Yes I've shot one, and today as a matter of fact and just about every Saturday. What do you want to know? Fun gun, accurate, like bolt gun accurate. If you're looking to buy new and like the A3 type stock then hang out. At last years shot show FN...

    Gunsmithing BAR trigger job?

Re: BAR trigger job? Yup, our very own Mark Gordon at Short Action Customs does a great job with the Bar II triggers. My FNAR breaks like glass.
