    If you can deal with Chicom stuff, the Sirui AM-223 compact tripod is pretty sturdy. They did a decent job with their intellectual property theft on this one. A high-power spotting scope stand would also work.

    Compass Lake used to make AR22 uppers using the M-261 conversion. Keystone Accuracy does make AR22 uppers. They use the CMMG conversion.

    And remember, the dB scale is logarithmic. That means a 3dB difference is equal to double (or half) the sound pressure level. In English - a 3dB reduction in sound pressure level is half as loud.
