    12" ish Barrel 6.5 Grendel

Slightly off topic, but what speeds are you getting (with what load) for the 129 ABLR from a 12"? I'm hardly getting 2300 fps from a 18", using 26.4 gr 8208. I've tried LVR and there's maybe room way over book max but still getting around that speed.

    6bra fire forming

I load N140 at about 29 gr for fireforming with 105's. Not sure how much faster N135 is but I hope that helps.

    Tikka T3 Thread

First, congrats on the Tikka, that will be sweet. Second, try shooting it before going to such lengths to get a brake? Third, if a brake is needed, I agree either get it threaded in another pattern or get a clamp on brake. Edit: You could get this...

    Shit box shooting challenge

Love it. I shot my first PRS style match a few years back and the guy who did best in my squad had a stock Axis, I forget the scope but I doubt it was over $500. Would be a great training tool too, if you can do well with that setup you'll own with a high end setup. I shot USPSA and 3 Gun for...

    Tikka stock swap

Lite to Lite? Yeah no prob. CTR into a Lite stock? May need some sanding down.

    My project rifle

Good call on the cartridge. I haven't built one yet but gathering components still. For 180's most people run 0.220" freebore or slightly more. If you're going for no turn Peterson, Norma, or 284 Lapua brass I'd go for dimensions similar to attached.

    What would you build/buy?

I've got largely the same setup for my deer hunting / long range plinking rifle. 18" AA fluted 6.5G barrel, 2-10x Weaver Tactical. Weighs a bit over 9 lb, and maybe 1.5 MOA out to 600 with American Gunner. Not super happy with the accuracy but it's fun and my 129 ABLR loads have been great in...

    Imported carbon fiber tripod (RT90C)

Nice, thanks for the idea! I used Velcro straps and added some strips of Toughtek I had leftover from my shooting bags.

Precision Rifle Gear Cheap shooting tripod setup

I know, I know. RRS or GTFO, stop buying Chineseium. I'd love to, but that's not in the budget. If/when I am able to shoot enough to justify it, I'd love to get the full RRS Anvil 30 setup, and I'm sure it would be way better. But today is not that day. Instead, I got an Innorel ST344C tripod...

Wrecking firing pins and need some help

Fair, seems to be a school of thought to take it really easy on brass for fireforming (or first firing generally) but that doesn't mean it's always needed.

Wrecking firing pins and need some help

That's pretty hot for a fireform load, first I'd back that down. My 6 BRA (full power load) is either 30.2 gr H4895 or 31.5 gr N140, and fireform load is 29.6 gr N140 (and 2753 fps with 105s). Haven't worked up a H4895 fireform load but using those ratios it would be about 28.3 gr H4895. Agreed...

SRP vs LRP brass (Lapua) for 6.5 creedmoor - any advantages of one vs other

Ball powders in cold temps with mild primers, you might have issues with SRP. Otherwise, don't worry about it. SRP theoretically can tolerate higher pressures.

    Quickload help 280AI, 22”

Anybody asking for Quickload data should really download GR Tools for free. I don't have the former but the latter is definitely more modern, full featured, and is reasonably close to my loads. Edit: GR Tools is lacking any data for IMR 4831, but here's H4831:

Sidearms & Scatterguns First shotgun for the wife?

A shotgun for people that don't like recoil I'll always recommend the Beretta 1301 / A400. I've got the former and it's so smooth compared to the Benelli inertia system.

    Is red threadlocker acceptable

I'll just point out that TBAC recommends red Loctite: https://www.snipershide.com/shooting/threads/tbac-ultra-7-cb-any-coming-in-the-near-future.7074463/#post-9496544
