    AR stock other than PRS?

I actually prefer the UBR. It's heavy, sure, but it's rock solid as well. I'm not a long-armed dude so I don't need a really long LOP. UBR works great for me, and it feels great whether you're shooting prone, kneeling, or from a barrier.

ETA of the 7mm 195gr VLD?

Very true. I also point all my hybrids for concentricity and to eek out a little better BC. It's tough to find a better ELR combo IMHO.

ETA of the 7mm 195gr VLD?

    3120-50 FPS, depending on conditions.

ETA of the 7mm 195gr VLD?

Same here, can't wait to see this bullet come out. My 7-300WM shoots lights out with the 180gr Hybrid, but I'd do load development with these just to see how they rate. Still, those 180gr Hybrids are a fantastic bullet.

Sidearms & Scatterguns What do you think about the Salient Arms Glocks?

Salient is making the nicest Glocks in existence. However, even having "nice" and "Glock" in the same sentence makes me cringe a bit. I beat the shit out of my Glocks, and love the fact that I can do that without worrying about them. If you have lots of disposable income, then you'll have a...

    Sidearms & Scatterguns Wife's wanting a handgun

It all boils down to whether she's going to put in the time and training to become proficient with it. If so, then put a Glock 19 and an M&P 9mm in her hand and see what she likes better. Both great guns. If she's not going to train much, then the hammerless, lightweight S&W 38 Spl is what you...

    Suppressors osprey 9 vs 45

I shoot my osprey 45 on my 9mm all the time. Sounds just fine to me. The versatility to switch my suppressor to all my autos far exceeds the suppressor not being as quiet on a 9mm.

    Graduous??

It's great to get our input on your build, but part of the beauty of working with Robert is the chance to pick his brain about the specifics of your build. He'll steer you right for your build.

    Graduous??

You can't find a better builder. I've built two rifles with him, and am waiting to build my 6.5SAUM with Robert as well. You won't find a nicer guy or a better shooting gun.

Rifle Scopes Tangent Theta - TT525P

Lowlight gave a long, measured response and a positive review. That certainly means something to me since he's used and discarded more scopes than I'll ever own. Nonetheless, I hope Tangent Theta gives more thought to its price point. I use high end scopes (S&B, USO, Kahles, Premier) but the...

    "CR-MOD 1" A Weapon Review 300 blackout suppressed.

Great video, and fun-looking rig. It would be ideal in heavy Eastern woods.

Sidearms & Scatterguns 9MM Wins - Thanks FBI

Keep beatin' that drum, man. I'm not trying to say a 9mm is inferior. I like Ford trucks, by the way. Not telling you that you shouldn't drive Chevys either.

Sidearms & Scatterguns 9MM Wins - Thanks FBI

So true! I busted out laughing when I saw this post, and my wife shot me a weird look for guffawing on the couch reading my iPad.

Sidearms & Scatterguns 9MM Wins - Thanks FBI

The truth is, if you've gotten yourself into a situation where 15 rounds of 9mm will save you but 13 rounds of .40 will not, then you've done fucked up. There isn't much difference between the two in all practicality, so carry whatever you like and shoot the best. Handgun cartridge debates...

Thinking of building a shorty 308.. What twist rate??

You should be fine with a 1:12. If I were building one from the ground up, then I'd go with a 1:10 or a 1:11.25 twist. However, your current setup should work if you experiment with the loads.

Training Courses Best East Coast Precision Rifle Classes

If you're in western NC, then you're a 3-4 hour drive from Ed Shell. He's fantastic, the range is challenging, and your training will be 1-on-1. I try to schedule a class with him at least every 6 months to keep my skills up. You cannot beat working with Ed Shell.

    6XC opinions please

I use the 105 Hybrids in my 6 Creed and they're great, especially when you point them! Accuracy is all about repeatability, which means the fewer variables the better. You have your brass (Norma), your powder (H4350), and now all you have to do is see whether the 105s or 115s shoot better. If...

    6XC opinions please

The 6XC is one of my favorite cartridges. It was easy to load for, and great for all around LR shooting. My honey load was at 41.3gr of H4350 under coated 115gr DTACs, no pressure signs. It was a screaming load, and accurate. I always had good experiences with Norma brass, though it can be a...
