Thanks for the info on the jump length on the 109's for dasher. I started w .015 jump and am working my way up to .045, but I have that .030 jump is a good sweet spot. Asking so that I can learn, did you start at .010 or something like that and work your way to .030 to find .030 was the best...
Z06pilot I have heard that it's more temp sensitive than Varget and I'm waiting to get some too to run in dasher for a while. Looking forward to comments on this thread.
Good info Dthomas!!! I have found the Peterson brass to be beefy indeed!! I am on my 8th firing w XC and seem to have a donut inside the case just above the shoulder junction. Not slighting the brass for that issue at all.
Great info! So your dasher did better at "lower" velocites of around 2,790 vs. 2,930-ish? I have been wondering where to start my MV's in dasher w the 109's.
When the time comes that you do a ladder test, check out those pre-made targets from Box to Bench Precision. I spent a lot of time measuring out home-made ladder targets but those are accurate and instant!
I actually started with a Dillon XL650 progressive press and then went to an RCBS Rock Chucker that I had in my basement. You'd be surprised how well the Dillon progressive press worked!!
