    Leica 2800.com sleep mode aggravation

The TerrapinX is a great unit. It's just that the Bluetooth is pretty rough. I'm keeping it because it works with the Garmin Tactix Delta AB. But for most of what I do I think the 3500.com is a better option.

    Leica 2800.com sleep mode aggravation

Yeah, I ordered the 3500.com after I was at the range in Hollister and another guy had it. He could quickly range the 2200yd target. It was painful with the TerrapinX. Once it arrived, I noticed the bluetooth worked much better--none of the usual BS with failing to reconnect, etc. It doesn't...

Kestrel connection problem with Terrapin X

I had a problem at a match yesterday. In addition to the reconnecting problems described here, the range never go into the Kestrel from the TerrapinX. This morning, I updated the TerrapinX to build 247 and the Kestrel was already at v1.45. I have let the TerrapinX turn off multiple times, and...

Whelp, when I used the $#@!ing washers included with the chassis, the screws fit fine. I shouldn't do armory on Friday after a hard work week!

Did the screws that came with the ACC work for you? If not, what size did you use? I just tried to install my TL3 into an ACC and the screws were too long.

PRS Talk Accountability of the Precision Rifleman

That was the stage we started on. Setup was a pain, and since we couldn't figure out a way for shooter, spotter, and RO to all see the target on the left through the loophole, we didn't spot that one. We spotted for each other on the other three down in the floor of the valley.

    Ep 222: 100-yd targets

The best thing I did for my shooting before taking @lowlight ’s class was to use 1/2” orange dot stickers on easel graph paper with a 1” grid for targets. The grid works as a reference for group size computation and aiming at a 1/2 dot fits the “aim small, miss small” goal.

    Gun Room Security

Cameras an alarm systems are good ideas. Be careful with cameras. Wyze has had some very significant cybersecurity breaches, as has Ring. Nest has better security, but bear in mind that the last time they had to report separate financials from the rest of Alphabet (Google's parent company)...
