necrothread and all, but just thought it'd be worth mentioning that if you build with a Faxon barrel, I'd recommend using the Armalite AR-10 length gas tubes. I've found that for both their 308 barrels, and the 6.5CM barrels.

I thought if you're using the A5-length buffer tube for an AR-10 build, then you have to use the standard AR-15-length carbine buffers, i.e. 3.25" OAL.

that's a hefty-looking barrel, what's the gas-block journal? .875" or .936"? probably the main factor for weight. and the not-so-light PRS-Lite. but still lighter than a comparable large-frame AR in 6.5CM with similar specs.

you're right, the carrier is proprietary, that's why the charging handle is proprietary. The bolt itself is probably DPMS-pattern, though, if the barrel extension is DPMS-pattern, as mentioned above.
