Sidearms & Scatterguns Esee5 vs. Ratmandu

I am looking at buying a quality knife in this price range for general use. The Rat is a bit cheaper but, does not come with a sheath. Add one in and price is the same. Any opinions and/or preferences between these two? Thanks http://www.eseeknives.com/rc-5.htm...

Hunting & Fishing Considering a Win M70 for hunting, good stuff??

I am looking at a used, mid 70's M70 as a hunting gun. Its in 25-06, barrel getting worn, finish is a bit worn, overall solid mechanically. I'd probably shoot it as-is for a time then rebarrel to .280. I have no experience with Win rifle's and am looking for some comment's good and bad. Thanks

Rem 700 LA mags, Accurate and AI only choices?

These are the only two I can find for a LA. Am I missing something else? The AI mags are difficult to find and a bit more expensive than the AM, which seem more available. Anyone using the 3.715 length Accurate mag? I will be using them for a .284. Thanks

    Question about bushing dies

I need a new set of dies for an upcoming .284 Win build. I'd prefer not neck turning and will be using Win brass. Should I go with neck bushing dies, specifically Redding S dies? I have never used them, only standard FL RCBS or Redding dies. Thanks

Recommend me a joint health supplement

I researched a bunch online but I can never be certain as to the authenticity of the research since so many sell the products they recommend. Basically, I am experiencing a "creaky" and sore right shoulder and left knee. The shoulder is from tossing the kids around some years ago, the knee I...

    Concrete guys, need some help

Problem: Bought a new safe and need to bolt it down but I have a post tension slab. I was able to find the ends of the cables in the slab but, they run different depths and criss cross the slab. What I am considering is building/pouring a small foundation slightly larger than the safe in my...

Does this sound like a barrel on its way out?

7mm RM, 922 rounds, initially running 67 grains of R22 with 162 amax now 63 with 180 smk. I noticed I needed .6 -.7 mils of added elevation at a DA of 3300 compared to a confirmed come up at a DA of 1300. That and I had several rounds today that never impacted the target or the 6x6 foot backer...

I purchased a used Marlin 795 for my 5 year old that I plan to modify to fit her. Some more Alliant 2000MR results

Just got done working with this newer powder. Varget gave me decent velocity but so-so accuracy. R15 was better in accuracy but not velocity. This powder sounded good by previous users so I gave it a go. The gun is a stock LTR/20" barrelled 308. Using once fired Win brass (not my gun) Fed 210M...

    7mmRM 180 smk + R22 starting load opinions/help

No data that I could find using this combo. I assume I can use the 175 smk as a starting point. I was going to try 62 grains of R22 and work up from there. I will also be using Fed 215's and Rem brass. Feel free to toss out any opinions. Thanks

Range Report Some help on where to go with 308 load dev

I am developing a load for my stock Rem LTR, 20" .308. I tried to stay "standard" and went with Win brass fully prepped, Varget, Fed 210M primers, and 175 grain SMK's loaded to 2.805. I started at 43.5 on up to 45 grains in .5 increments. I first shot one of every load and all impacted with 4...

Bedding question, release agents *all is good*

So I read Williams thread on bedding several times. Bought some Marine Tex gray (what was readily available) and Johnsons no buff floor wax for release agent. After application of the Johnsons and it drying, I cannot feel any "film" or what I would consider a barrier to keep the epoxy from...

Removal and replacement of Badger FTE brake

I am going to be acquiring a Rem LTR that has the Badger FTE brake. I find it too large for the barrel contour and would like to replace it with the R&D brake. I currently use one on another rifle. Is it simply unscrew the Badger and screw on the R&D?? Thanks

7mm RM, how many reloads from brass do you get

I am using Rem brass that was new, FL sizing, custom chamber to space off shoulder, 67 gr of R22. I am at 8 reloads and found a few of the primer pockets to be looser than most. The rest of the case looks fine. How many reloads is everyone getting out of their brass, and what brass are you...
