Just picked up this beauty today from Custom Blue LLC. L/A 300WSM with a 30" melonited barrel. Gerald did a hell of a job! Updated with Viperskins and load data (waiting on the new V2 precision rear). 208gr AMAX 60.6gr H4350 OAL of 2.9500” Win brass Fed LRM primer When I get up to 61.2gr I...
5 months and waiting for the form 1 stamp for my rimfire can... Running my 30cal SAS on it in the meantime. REALLY like the Buckmark. Put 250 subsonic rounds through it so far and not one FTF or FTE. Added a pic (pre-mods) to show how ridiculous a rifle can is on this...
Just got back from the range with this sucker and I have to say I am impressed! (please excuse the sweat stains on the check piece, but it was freakin HOT!) Shot better than I expected. With the 69gr Noslers over 24.5gr TAC it was a consistent 1 MOA gun. Speeds were around 2840fps and even had a...
Edit: Got the suppressor mounted up. Just got back from the range with this sucker and I have to say I am impressed! (please excuse the sweat stains on the check piece, but it was freakin HOT!) Shot better than I expected. With the 69gr Noslers over 24.5gr TAC it was a consistent 1 MOA gun...
For a current build I am torn between the TA33H and the new SS 1-4 HD. Of those two, which would you recommend for a rugged/general purpose optic (0-400 yards) on a 16" carbine? My primary concern would be the washout common when shooting from cover into a well lit/outside area or dark interiors...
Has anyone here actually handled one of these? I have read claims of <1" groups with these things with handloads and am a big fan of bullpups in general. I love my AR10, but if I could get an RFB to group sub MOA it would make the switch pretty tempting.
Anybody else get the email on the below??? I don't think I can resist a couple of these... http://www.opticstalk.com/extensive-swfass-group-buy-incredible-savings_topic28845.html
Has anyone else read the threads on Brianenos and ARFCOM regarding CCI 400 SR primers flattening with moderate loads and heavy bullets? I have been working up a load for a 16" SPR build and settled on 24.4gr TAC under a 69gr Nosler which is max book load. Quickload shows just under max load as...
Finished up the SPR build today. 16" 1:7 WOA barrel is shooting just under 1" @ 100 using 69gr SMKs (24.5gr TAC gives 2740 fps). Hoped for 0.5MOA, but I'll take it. Threw in a picture of its big brother.
Got a new quick detach brass catcher from http://www.tacticalbrassrecovery.com/. Have to say so far I am impressed and love that I can swap it out easily between guns. The other feature I like is that it is very light weight (mostly made out of kydex). Weather is still fairly unpleasant, so it...
I have looked around and can't find it. I know that someone makes a single slot attachment 90 degree side rail which mounts on your base but cannot remember. The Badger SLAM is too large for the area I have to work with. Any suggestions appreciated!
Finished some load development with the GAP 7mm RM today and found a load she really likes. 65gr of RL22 with the 180gr Berger VLD. 5 shot groups was right around .25" and velocity was 2960. Can't wait to take it out to 1000+ yards on Monday!
Got all of the kinks worked out and topped it off with a NV optic which just happens to work quite well in sunlight. I included a video of the SCAR-H from today (courtesy hide member JAHamilton) to give an idea of the level of suppression with this cartridge. The "tink" heard when firing the...
