Geissele MRGG-S adopted by USSOCOM in 6.5 CM.

To catch people up on the news, Geissele was awarded the contract for the sniper variant. They are currently still competing for the Assaulter variant but it has yet to be awarded. In the video, the mil requirement was 1 MOA. They test every rifle that ships and the first 50 tested an overall...

    LMT MWS 6.5cm question.

To me, any rifle that is actively used by the military that gets 2.5 moa or below is doing pretty well. If you think the standard man size target being 18 inches wide, that 2.5 moa rifle is good to go out to the range of the ammo.

    noveske switchblock

Noveske was in Houston for a big demo day. I was talking to them and they actually referenced KAC regarding their switchblock setup. Effectively they tuned the gas to work unsuppressed or suppressed with a traditional baffle can with a focus on reliability and trying to minimize bcg slam.

Casual KAC SR-15 Comparison [a study in performance]

Gas tube where it entered the upper developed a hole, not enough gas to cycle the gun. I had a $4k paperweight for almost half a year.

Casual KAC SR-15 Comparison [a study in performance]

Yeah mine broke. I posted about it before. I had to wait months to get the handguard off (because someone on arf.com mailed me one). Also if you go to their site, they sell a field repair kit. My assumption is they sell it because shit breaks in the field.

Casual KAC SR-15 Comparison [a study in performance]

You will if something breaks. One of the uppers is milspec and you can fix and change the parts yourself with readily available tools and parts. One of them is made with proprietary parts designed by the finest minds of the swamp people tribe. There was a window last week when we had a full...

Casual KAC SR-15 Comparison [a study in performance]

With firearms, that is not really the case. For instance, when the USMC was looking to choose their service rifle they had manufacturers submit two rifles. When it comes to manufacturing widgets, if your process is good then the difference from one to the next is so small that it makes large...

Casual KAC SR-15 Comparison [a study in performance]

I prefer longer barrels but agree with you for nods. My go to setup is an ACOG with a top mounted red dot which is close to your height.

    Best flow through suppressor

I know that one of the Surefire muzzle devices causes a bigger then normal flash (maybe the closed tine flash hider). I use the comp and do not have that flash issue but I have only shot two 77 grain ammos out of it. My 556 flow burps fire every six or seven rounds. As long as we are talking...

    LPVO + Dot question

Thank you for responding. I had really high hopes for the Leupold and was completely underwhelmed by the reticle choices. I got to try the Primary Arms GLX and it is okay for the money but the glass and light transmission wasn't that great. I do like the Nightforce 4-16 ATACR but it is a little...

    LMT MRP-L

Having made something approaching $50k in mistakes, I think you are on the right track with the LMT. I have two LMT L lowers (one is currently being registered as a short barrel rifle. I have four uppers, 16 inch DI, 16 inch Piston, 18 inch 6 ARC, 12.5 inch shovel nose piston. I can't tell you...

What is generally considered the most precise semi-auto rifle?

100% spotting my misses with 5.56 it was frustrates me to no end.

Rifle Help, I will be specific with background

I have been shooting rifle more since 2020. I have specifically been shooting small frame ARs and have five rifles that I cycled through. A friend told me that I might have fun at some matches so I shot a couple that were listed on quantified performance. What I found out is that I really like...

    Best flow through suppressor

I have shot the MCQ-PRT, it is kind of like a big flash hider as opposed to an actual suppressor. I have not shot the full sized variant yet. I really like the KAC mounting system.

Someone set me straight on barrels

I was kind of touching on this. To me, 1 MOA on a gas gun is fantastic because that is kind of where my personal skill level collides with the equipment I own and use.

    Avoid Palmetto State Armory

100% on top of that most gun owners won't put enough rounds on a rifle (even a PSA) to reach some point of catastrophic failure. My highest round count rifle right now is a DD MK18 that is pushing 15k through it so far. I had to replace the buffer spring and the firing pin. I have swapped the...
