I have the wide shoe Timney trigger. It is a tad wide for the bottom metal and one or the other must go, or be clearanced.
Grind the slot in the bottom metal or the side of the trigger shoe?
Or- get a narrow shoe trigger?

If it was me I would just put the Timney on a different rifle or sell it and get a compatible one for the Surgeon Bottom metal. Either a tuned Remington or a Jewell will work fine.

Every Timney/Badger BM I have ever had needed slight filing of the BM inlet for the trigger, you just need to take a little off. I wouldn't touch the trigger.
