I was speaking with Krieger barrels and they said that if the bolt is chromed, there MAY be insufficient headspace with the barrel. The reasoning being that if the bolt is made to milspec, and then chromed, the chrome will eat some headspace. I have a Young Mfg National Match Chrome Bolt...
I have read several posts about people cutting chrome lined barrel on AR's as well as the FN rifles. I always figured if you cut through the chrome it would peel/flake. Any of you guys have any that you have cut? How did it work out?
