    Gunsmithing Duracoat vs Creakote

    I want to refinish my 1911 and don't know what would be better, I can have Duracoat local or ship it out for the Creakote. Anyone have any suggestions? or other brand names to look at. I would also look into having the slide on my XD refinished as well are these products DIY possible? Thanks Y'all
