    Gunsmithing 308 barrel recut to 300wm?

    So I picked up a brand new Shillen 308 barrel today on the cheap. I was wanting to recut the chamber to 300wm and use it to replace the factory barrel on my 300wm 700. Is it as simple as a chamber recut? Or are the threads different too?
