    Gunsmithing Lets spend some cash!!

    I,ve got a 5r, IBA one piece ring/base. Wanna send out to give one of the fine 'smiths here some work. What do you suggest?? This rifle will be with me for a looooong time. Willing to spend up to 1000.00 +/- Going to be topped off with a Nightforce. Suggestions please

    Rifle Scopes $500 to spend on glass & mount/ring for 700PSS 308

    I'm new to bolt action and long distance shooting. I've been reading alot on the FAQ and leard a ton. I can't wait to get out and start shooting my new rifle...well it was used but this is my first so it's fine. I want to shoot 400-600yds decently. Finer the better but I'm sure I'll suck...

    Which should I spend more on, rifle or glass?

    Here's the deal. Should I by all the scope I can afford and pick up a rifle in the $700-$800 range or should I try for more rifle (say up to $1500 or so) and get less expensive glass? I'll have about $2100 - $2300 to spend. Paul
