Can someone give me the link to the thread where someone on here went through the process step by step of converting a 10/22 to fit a 77/22. Can't find using either of the two search functions.
A friend asked me to fit a moderator to his 30/378. It is a Norwegian A tech mody. I took the muzzle break off the 30/378 but the threads do not match any of the taps I have! What thread pitch would Krieger have used?
well I'm new to the forum and am looking for a place to intro. maybe I'm blind or dumb, but I dint notice one. could someone point me in the right direction?
With all the great custom builders out there doing full custom builds, is there anyone decent who still does relatively simple gunsmithing but with high quality? I dont mind a reasonable wait but dont think it should take as long as a full custom job either. Someone must have this niche covered...
OK, don't rape me over this one but I'm out of my league when it comes to this and now that I'm in a CLASS 3 friendly state and I'm getting things together I'm looking for some knowledge. Please go over with me what I think I know and correct me were I'm wrong. using the size 1/2 x 28 for...
Does anyone know what the screw thread size is for this receiver? Are they mostly standardized on most rifles? I want to chase the threads in the receiver with a tap, but I'd prefer to start with the right size from the get-go. Edit: Nevermind, found out. 8-40
I am trying to find the thread that questioned if the 155 Scenar really has a B.C. of .508. I tried to search for it without any luck. Any help would be appreciated.
I stumbled upon somewhere out there in the world wide web a list of the common flash hider and muzzle brake thread pitches and the weapons that use them, however have since lost it and now cant find it again. Anyone have something similar or a link on hand? cheers fellas, JJ
Sorry, I know I have seen these on the sight before, but I cannot find them by searching here or on Google. Any way I have seen some simple thread adapters that thread onto the end of an AR-15 barrel 1/2 X 28 and increase it to 5/8 X 24. I am trying to find some of these. Thanks for your help...
Rem. 700 VLS .820 dia. bbl at muzzle. Muzzle turned down and threaded to .565 Maj.Dia. thd. maybe 24 TPI. I am guessing 9/16 x 24 TPI. Thd. length about 3/4 maybe 7/8. I would like to get something to install there other than a thread protector. So what is the procedure? I notice there...
I'd be disappointed if cutting the crown disturbed the accuracy of the rifle-there's probably not any level of enjoyment that I could get from shooting it suppressed that would make up for a loss of accuracy.
whenever i put my thread on supressor on my rifle and shoot a match or just get it hot it tends to want to get locked on the barrel..i keep the threads greased upbut it dosent seem to matter,,,i hate having to crack it in between events because im worried about changing my p.o.i...anybody out...
Anyone know a man that can help me maybe thread a phantom flash hider to 5/8X24 to turn it into an adapter for an m1a, or something similar? Obliged, WYK
So I finally ran across a Savage BTVS for some cheaper practice. I am going to get the barrel threaded for my can but have a feeling that my local smith might not be able to make a thread protector for it. What are you guys using? I was looking at Tacsol muzzle break. Forty bucks, but no sure...
