    Gunsmithing Internal threading question

When cutting internal threads, is it a good idea to use a left hand cutter and reverse the spindle direction to cut from the inside out? I wonder if cutting with a right hand cutter up to a shoulder, blindly, may be done on the lathe with out crashing into the shoulder. I do not have a DRO but I...

    Cutting and Threading a Barrel

I was interesting to cutting my barrel down and having it threaded, my question is do you buy the knurled thread protectors or are they custom made by the gunsmith doing the work. I may also consider putting a Vias brake on it that I can take on and off.

    Gunsmithing Barrel Threading

I have a couple of barrels off at tornado tech right now for threading. They have had the 4 months and no idea of when they will get done. I was going to get my barrel back from them and send it to george at GAP. Surely if he can build me a bad ass rifle he can thread a barrel. Any thoughts?

Gunsmithing Barrel to Action Threading Question

    Risk of threading a barrel?

I have a 308 fn that shoots way better than I deserve. I had another rifle threaded last year for an elite iron bravo can. I tempted to thread this barrel which is 20 inches. Is it worth the risk or is the risk to accuracy minimal if threading the barrel? Thanks for your input.
