Well we went back to school today. Here are the highlights:

Art teacher tried to game the system and schedule all k-6 into 1 online class. Might have worked if she knew how to mute the whole class. It was so bad.

A lot of these kids are without supervision just parked at the screen. We saw kids logged in an hour before class just siting there chatting.

Teacher couldn’t get any control so she just logged out. Later parents just kept using the IM feature to tell the kids to Mute. One person (idk of child or parent) threatened the kids w physical abuse. 😂🤣

Some Karen told and the principal came on. He scolded the 180+ kids. He had no idea what was happening.

Then it got real good, kids started IM’ing porn links. 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂

So that was day 1.

They did have good resources. I led my kid to some math refreshers and a pretty good keyboarding resource.

Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.

Pissing on the kids. Thats what they are doing. Fake outrage over a virus that doesnt affect children. Shameful. Pitiful. Sad.

I agree 100%.

There are a lot of kids out there whose parents need the schools as a free daycare. I don’t want to debate the morality of that, but it has been working. The kids were safe, Fed, educated and had after school programs to assist as well. Now they are home alone. Making poor nutrition choices. Falling behind and for what?!

So the politicians can have an arm flab measuring contest.

And the AZ teachers, don’t get me started on their Red for Wd bullshit. Do your job or go be a realtor like the last batch of teachers.

Was the porn good at least?

Are we talking 2 girls 1 cup stuff or 1957 Sears catalog "brazier" section stuff?

Free daycare! ? Over $10k of the property taxes I pay go towards their indoctrination and I have no choice in the matter (other than to move, which is not out of the question). I wouldn't mind debating the morality of that.

I agree with your overall point, but don't confuse free with sunk cost/fine for owning property.

I think the good that will come out of it is that many parents will finally wake up and see what their kids are being taught first hand. Even we are now thinking of pulling our youngest out and doing home schooling.

I told the town council that I want a refund on my property taxes and I want teachers fired that don't go back to work. That caused a bit of a rumpus. I was told to be more sensitive. I told the head of the school board who was at the meeting to stick it up his ass after he removed his diaper. Fuckers

I mean I get that the teachers don't want to go into classrooms with potentially sick kids. When i worked for the power company nobody once asked me how i felt about storm restoration... sometimes you just have to accept that's what you signed up for. This is a lousy situation for everybody involved, but I agree, either the state needs to get out of the education business or start providing the service I'm paying for...

Your reaction would be considered normal.
I'm surprised that they didn't set up some kind of consoling for those in the audience wounded by the truth.

Its pretty bad when even Fauci is saying we need to go back.

The perceived threat of going back to school is not about the children getting sick. Its about the children getting their parents, teachers, and grandparents sick, and an unmanageable spike in cases.

I can't tell what percentage of teachers are fighting going back. I can tell you most I know were ready to go back before the end of the year last year. The teachers unions like any good democrat stooges are fighting any semblance of returning to normal.

It's not just the unions but the school boards as well. There are an overwhelming amount of teachers who never wanted to close the schools or did not want to return to distance learning. The same with the families. Through all the polls the districts in my area sent out to families, 60 - 70% wanted to go back to normal, but with the current regulations in place, it's only a matter of time before everything shuts down again and families are left caring for their kids at home while everyone returns to distance learning.

The problem is that there is so much red tape being thrown at it by people making decisions who don't have a clue and are just making things up as they go. Any change or new plan is coming down at the last minute or is constantly changing as the days go, and they're not listening to the parents or teachers.

While teachers are still not the most popular profession here, there is still a lot going on behind the scenes that most don't realize and the decisions being made have little input from them.

Here in Jefferson County CO we were all set to return.

A fit by the teachers union with a “what about the kids” thrown in and we are remote learning the first 2 weeks.

Absolutely, and often school board members and teachers union heads are one and the same.

This could turn out good if we did nothing but have our kids read the western civ classics.....Iliad, Odyssey, Beowulf, Seven Pillars, Bible, 1984, Animal Farm, Brave New World, 93 Confirmed Kills..........

Precision Rifle Marksmanship: The Fundamentals -: A Marine Sniper's Guide to Long Range Shooting

Problem is these computer gen kids can't, won't, and don't read.

When my daughter started school wife and I went to a meeting for first graders to start public school, after the meeting we looked at each other and said fuck that shit and decided to home school her. After 10th grade she talked us into letting her go to high school to be with her friends, guess 2 yeas of indoctrination was better than 12. Think we did ok she just this year graduated from university with two degrees. Schools now are a cluster fuck and have been for a long time I'm really glad I don't have kids in school and have to deal with any of this shit.

My daughter is supposed to go back to school “online” next week. I expect it will be the same stupidity as the school wasted the last 4 months of last year. How you ask? The teacher showed up by video conference only 1 HOUR A WEEK and spent the whole hour asking how the kids enjoyed their time off. No actual teaching! Self study... for kids who don’t know how...

I am now teaching her myself. I hated teachers and the school system when I was a kid and this has done nothing to improve it. If they aren’t going to earn it then fire them all and give me a tax refund.

Now the woke mom’s who refuse to learn the online system have decided the babysitters need to return to work. And the are willing to sacrifice their children’s education if necessary.
