I had the winter off due to knee blow out. Got back to the reloading bench yesterday with new dies and loaded 60.5 gr RL-22 in my 06 neck sized brass and load was compressed but it seemed like I had a lot of neck tension also. I have shot this load many times before in this rifle when I FL re sized. Do you thing I have any safety issues? No shaving of the bullet was evident. The projectiles are 180 gr NAB. Thanks

Re: 06 - compressed loads

If it's shot in the same kind of brass that you have used before, it will probably shoot the same. In you changed brands of brass... Be careful when you shoot it. You may have pressure problems. There can be some different case volumes at work if you have actually changed brass.

Re: 06 - compressed loads

More than likely not a problem. I run 62gr of RL22 under a 178 because that's all I can get into a Win case and keep the bullet from being pushed back out.

I shoot 59.5gr under a 208gr bullet with lots of crunch.

If you ran this load before, then there's nothing to worry about.
