I have Schneider 5P bbl for my .308 build. The bbl is either 1/11.25 or 1/11.5 (cant remember). Bbl length will be either 25" or 22". I'm just wondering what the general consensus is on shooting 175gr SMKs from 100-1000yds. Will this work or should I sell?

My "F" class rifle had a 1:11.27 Rock barrel chambered with a 308 Obermeyer. It did just fine.

Its not a 308 but my 300 Win mag sports a 26" 1-11.25 and shoots 190grs well under an MOA.

My M24 clone had a twist of 1-11.27,308 Rock barrel 24", It was the most accurate of all my 308s.It would put 175smks with 43grns of w748,all in one hole at 300yds with little effort on my part.Dont sell the barrel, use it!

My 26" 1-11.25 twist Rock does fine with the 175.Yours should be good to go.

My factory trg-22 has a 26 inch 1-11 twist and shoots 175smk 1/8 moa unless the nut behind the trigger gets loose, also does realy good w/ 168g smk.

I have the exact barrel its great shoots 175 smk and 155 Lapua for thousand yds F/TR matches every month. You could not have better, it happens to be a very fast barrel in fact.
