What are some loads you guys have developed for a 1 in 14 twist 22-250 using varget or h4350? I have a ruger m77 hawkeye that seems to be pretty picky and im just curious where some of you guys are landing for powder and OAL measurements. I have 50 grain blitzkings, 53gr a-max, 55gr varmageddon, and several other weights i can play with, im assuming with the 1-14 it will be happy in the 50-55gr range..Thanks in advance

I like 55 grain Blitzkings & max load of IMR 4064.

Reloder 15 gave me the best accuracy when I had a 22-250, and I experimented with a whole lot of powders during that time. Nothing over 55 grainers ever shot worth a damn though. The 40 and 50 grain Sierra’s were lights out. It’s a shame that the barrel had a 1-14, I really liked it but it wouldn’t group past about 300 for me due to wind.

8208 XBR behind 53 gr Varmageddon 10 thou off lands hammers from my 26" 12 twist 22 250

8208/53 Varmageddon shoots good from my 22"14 twist 22 Grendel IMP @ 3800fps out to 600 yd.(furthest I have tested it)
Because of bullet length some 14 twist will stabilize 53's some will not.

Don't overlook the tried and true H380. I am using it to push 55g Nosler BTV to 3600fps and ragged hole groups. It meters like water.

H4350 would be pretty slow for 22-250 with 50's or 55's. We burn 4350 in my daughters 8" twist with 80smk's. A couple 14" twist remys i had like a max load of varget with 50zmax real well.
