Rifle Scopes 1-6 Optic - Vortex PST Gen II or Athlon Cronus?

It seems the PST G2 is highly regarded. Any feedback on Athlon Cronus 1-6? The original, non BTR model... FFP ATSR16 mil reticle.

Rifle is a 20” AR10 308. Use is not specific, more general, target work, hunting, predators.

I’ve seen the Vortex for $599 and the Athlon for $799.

Have positive experience with both brands, but not these models.

I have the 1-5 Burris (CQ Mil reticle) and have been pleased with it. I traded for it thinking I would just flip it, and instead I liked it enough to keep it.

The glass is as bright and clear as the PST 1-6 scopes I've played with, the illum is daylight bright (though not at bright as something like a Razor 1-6), and the MAD knob system is a nice touch, since it gives you the option of setting the scope up with an exposed elevation turret (w zero stop) if you like.

I don't have any experience with the 1.5-8.

Thanks... I bit the bullet and jumped on the Burris deal. It also has CQ Mil reticle and MAD knobs, got from Optics Planet for $550, only 2 left in stock.
