10/22 build from the ground up

I thought I would try a 10/22 build from the ground up. I bought a Tactical Innovations CH22 receiver, TacSol barrel, bolt from Rimfire Tech, and a Hogue stock. The scope is a Wallyworld $34.95 Tasco 3-9x50 that surprisingly does pretty good. No targets to post of how it shoots but it does pretty good. The whole thing weighs a little over 5 lbs. A good rifle for carrying in the woods.

Yeah, that's pretty slick. I have not seen that before, but I'm also pretty new to the world of rimfire.

Neat! Is that a VQ trigger assy? Is the charging handle easy enough to get at with the scope there?

Yes, it's the VQ trigger assembly. I used high rings so there would be a little more room. Wish I could put an extended handle on it like the Badger. It would make it easier.

Nice. I don't think I would do the charging handle with that kind of stock.

I would like to build something like that with TacSol's SBX barrel (since I already have a Outback II)

I really like the ultra-lights. A rig like that deserves better optics though. Is the barrel free floated, or do you have side pressure in the barrel channel?

It's free floated, and yes it deserves better optics. That's what I had on hand at the time. Gotta build up the funds before spending more on it.

Mostly SK Standard Plus & Molf Match Extra. And It does okay with CCI too.
